  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 27, 2014 -> 09:16 PM) Man I would do anything (even kiss a fat girl sober) to get Love in a Bulls uni. He's a special player. Read this as you'd do anything to get in a luvabulls uni.

  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 27, 2014 -> 04:20 PM) Has anyone here actually heard The Heist? I mean, Macklemore raps. It's a rap album. I guess you could consider it more of a hip hop album, but no more so than say MMLP2, which most people will call a rap album. The Heist was a brilliant album. I mean, Taylor Swift has won for country in the past - it's not what you think of when you think country. Deal with it - the genres are crossing more and more. Completely separate from whether Mackelmore should count for this genre or that genre is the fact that the Grammys are often pretty terrible and shouldn't be taken as a definitive statement of anything.
  4. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 27, 2014 -> 03:48 PM) Even people trying to say he isn't even a rapper, he is a pop artist, which is another way of saying he looks too white to be a rapper. I dunno, people don't really level that criticism at Eminem, do they?
  5. Sounds like someone has a drinking problem and is trying to deflect.
  6. losing team gets sacrificed to the god of the volcano.
  7. The economy of the state of Texas depends on the Superbowl coming through twice a decade? I'm skeptical.
  8. ok but like others have pointed out Sherman didn't really say anything stupid or dumb, which is why the BM clip makes no sense edit done with this dumb conversation now
  9. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 11:25 AM) Nope, I'm deducing from your own words and drawing conclusions. If I said "I like the color blue and no other colors" and someone said "so you don't like red," I couldn't counter that with "I DIDN'T SAY THAT, NOW DID I?" because I quite clearly implied that I did say that. Again, you said "Richard Sherman is acting like an idiot." Thus, at one point, you felt he was an idiot. An idiot is a stupid person. A stupid person lacks intelligence. Thus, at one point in time, you felt that Richard Sherman lacked intelligence. (turns to judge) Your Honor, I rest my case. hey putting a billy madison quote that goes "one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul" with Sherman isn't calling him an idiot! it's just humor! see it's funny because they call what he said idiotic and irrational. Why would you ever think that implies a lack of intelligence?!
  10. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 11:15 AM) I always thought the global warming would lead to global cooling as the ice caps melted and the ocean waters rise and cool. ....no
  11. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 11:09 AM) Ok, let me know when you find a quote of me saying Sherman lacks intelligence, or else we can continue to go in circles for no reason. uh what do you think that Billy Madison clip implies?
  12. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 11:12 AM) Sure, but he is right. Then good on the Indian government for getting their people access to affordable cancer medication.
  13. It really depends on how the differentials and controls are set up. Something like an AWD Lamborghini? It's going to be power to the rear wheels most of the time, whereas a ford escape might be sending most of the power to the front wheels most of the time. And if you don't have limited-slip differentials, you can still get stuck with spinning wheels.
  14. Oh, Lisa! You and your stories! "Dad, Bart is a vampire." "Beer kills brain cells." Now, let's get back to that... building thingy... where our beds and T.V... is.
  15. QUOTE (Tex @ Jan 24, 2014 -> 07:21 AM) The whole impaired driving argument is why I thought the legalization of marijuana wouldn't happen this fast. As we've become stricter and stricter about impaired driving, adding another legal substance to the list of potential causes seemed to run counter to conventional wisdom. It's not like pot wasn't incredibly easy for anyone to get and still illegal to drive under the influence of before, though. Just like it's not legal to take a bunch of pain killers and go for a spin. There might not be easy breathylizer tests, but you can still be pulled over and charged for it. edit: I would not be surprised if people drove better while high than while drunk, though.
  16. You fall asleep drunk at 2AM with a pretty high BAC, yeah, you're probably still going to be impaired five hours later.
  17. Also would depend on the beer! A couple Dogfish Head 90 minute IPAs could easily get you above 0.08, but it might take five miller lites in the same time period.
  18. Pretty sure you can drink responsibly one night and wake up sober the next morning. If you drink so much that you're not sober by the time you have to go to your job (and yours just happens to be driving a massive vehicle on public roads), you have a problem.
  19. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 02:15 PM) No, its the fact that Incognito was specifically brought up as an example and has the same profession as Sherman, and he was called a "thug" by the Washington Times. Big Ben was also specifically mentioned, Ben Roethlisberger Is a Thug, in this thread. Those are a lot more comparable considering Big Ben and Incognito are both in the NFL. Its unfortunate that peoples first reaction to certain things is to immediately assume racism. Dont get me wrong, I realize there is racism and I have read some of the things said to Sherman via social media and I find it repulsive. However, I dont think its fair to immediately point fingers at someone on this message board and imply theyre racist because they used the term thug. I personally dont have any real issues with Sherman but I certainly can see how people could be annoyed by his antics after the NFC Championship game. I think people have been talking more about the general reaction, especially in the media, versus a specific poster here. Look at that report from deadspin about how "thug" was used 625 times on TV on Monday, more than any other day in at least three years. That includes a day when the Secretary of State called a foreign leader a "thug" during the middle of pretty heavy media coverage of the Syrian civil war. And then look at the three people compared in your post. Sherman was obnoxious in a post-game interview and insulting to an opponent. Incognito intimidated a teammate and hurled racial slurs at him for months. Roethlisberger has very likely raped at least one person. One of those things is not like the other.
  20. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 02:08 PM) .08 is by definition two beers. Two. As in 2. 1 + 1. There's no "by definition" as it varies from person to person and day to day. Sounds like you're making excuses for not being able to stop yourself from drinking more than legally allowed.
  21. You don't know for certain, which is why you have a universal law without exception. It's not like DUI laws and increased enforcement haven't had substantial impacts. http://report.nih.gov/nihfactsheets/ViewFa...et.aspx?csid=24 If you can't control yourself and not be over 0.08 before driving, you have a problem.
  22. yeah understanding how language works is a convenient thing edit: for an obvious example, "boy" doesn't universally have a racial context, but it sure as hell does when used in certain ways and directed at certain people.
