Is Fukudome strictly a corner OF or would he be a viable option for CF?

Perhaps Uribe could fetch Jays' reliever Casey Janssen? Then the bulllpen may look something like this: Jenks Linebrink Thornton Janssen Logan Wassermann Mac-expendable? thus opening a spot or two to be won in spring training (e.g. oneli perez)

I would not advocate the team trade away its best pitching even for Cabrera/Crawford, who are two of my top 5 favorites in MLB. The rotation as is, has three significant question marks.

I would like to see the team swing a trade for the Astros' OF Luke Scott.

I wanted Freel last offseason. It will be interesting to see what they want for him.

If anything, Richardson has his eyes on being Sec. of State in a Clinton administration. My feeling is that Obama is going to appoint several Republicans to his cabinet including Sec. of State, which I think will be offered to Republican Sen. Richard Lugar. I think Obama really believes in his rhetoric about ending the red v. blue divide business, but who knows.

I cannot help but wonder if Garland could have been shipped to Philly for Bourn and minor league SS Jason Donald before the Lidge trade? It could have shored up our OF and give the team a SS to replace Uribe after the season. Maybe not.
