    Who is dieting?

    see-food diet i eat what i see.
  2. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 31, 2008 -> 09:42 AM) Jeb Bush in 2016 Then, Chelsea Clinton in 2024.
  3. I'll throw out a fun, but impossible three-way deal involving SF & Minnesota. Sox send: PK, Crede (if he shows he's healthy in S.T.), Russell, Shelby, Alexei Ramirez to SF SF sends: Cain, Sanchez, Shelby, Ramirez to Minn. for Johan Santana. They keep PK, Crede, and Russell. SF sends Santana to the Sox If Contreras shows solid health and effectiveness, trade him to Mets or similar. Use the money taken off the books by trading Contreras, PK, and Crede to sign a multi-year deal w/ Santana.
  4. My favorite Aardsma memory will always be his wild pitch during an intentional walk in Minnesota last season.
  5. It is unfortunate that Thompson's campaign never gained much traction. He was the only GOP candidate I considered voting for.
  6. if the season began today, this would be my objective prediction: ocab ss swisher cf thome dh kong 1b dye rf fields 3b* pierzynski c quentin lf richar 2b * this caveat being that crede's departure is a foregone conclusion.
  7. I predict a stronger-than-predicted 3rd place finish for Huckabee.
  8. Sen. Nelson (D-NE) Endorses Obama Since I usually like to throw in some of my own commentary after posting an endorsement, I will here. Nelson, Johnson, and Conrad were only three of four Democrats in the entire U.S. Senate to vote for Alito's confirmation. All three Senators have endorsed Obama. Nelson, though is decidedly more conservative in his voting than Conrad and Johnson, and more conservative than a small handful of Republican Senators.
  9. Arizona Gov. Endorses Obama Along w/ Kerry and Johnson, this is another endorsement that will benefit Obama. He wins support from a popular woman governor of a western state. An Obama administration would likely consider her to lead the Justice Department or view her as a possible Supreme Court nominee.
  10. On TV tonight, Tim Russert asserted that the Culinary Workers Union would be endorsing Obama on Wednesday. Likely, that would further improve his Nevada outlook on top of a likely NH win.
  11. Also, I am watching the Dem debate and earlier Hillary asserted that she opposed the '05 energy bill, while Obama supported it. Do NOT believe it: http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll...&vote=00158 Why doesn't one of the candidates call a lie a lie? Will this be brought up after the debate? Probably not, but it took me a whole ten seconds to debunk. edit: found the direct quote in the transcript http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/05/us/polit...?pagewanted=all
  12. Initially, I was repelled when I read these rumors about Kong heading to the Angels. Now that I have had some more time to research Kendrick, I can envision scenarios where a trade of this nature could really help the Sox.
  13. I'm watching the debate right now and I despise Romney more than ever. When another candidate points out that he has changed his positions, he invariably pauses, and solemnly responds "let's make this about issues and not personal attacks."
  14. Yes, I like this trade and I think it has been the best White Sox offseason move made.
  15. I didn't see this b/c I was out of town until today: Sen. Kent Conrad (D-ND) Endorses Obama Pretty interesting b/c this is only the second U.S. Senator to endorse Obama, with Durbin (doesn't count b/c he is a homestate colleague) being the other. Conrad is far out of the establishment with his votes against the Iraq War Resolution and a vote for Justice Alito. In addition, he promised to resign from the Senate earlier in his career if the deficit did not go down. Consequently he resigned while he could have easily broken his promise and been re-elected. This is his first Presidential endorsement since being elected to the U.S. Senate in 1986.
  16. I think Webb would be a great veep for any of the dems given his qualifications, geography, etc. If Obama can upset Hillary for the nomination, I would love to see him pick Hagel. Though it would never happen, an Obama-Hagel v. McCain-Lieberman would be a solid matchup. I disagree with all of them on a few issues, but they would make their campaign about issues, not throw crap around.
  17. P.K. to the Diamondbacks for Jackson, Owings, and maybe cash or a minor leaguer
  18. Would Baltimore want to trade for Uribe? Now that they have a bevy of young players coming over in the Tejada trade, would they be willing to part w/ minor league SS Bob Henson? It wouldn't improve the Sox this year, but it would add to our farm system and provide a potential SS, 2b, or leadoff hitter of the future.
  19. I too am happy that Rowand signed elsewhere. Part of me wants the CF job to go to Anderson, or Sweeney, or Owens, but I feel that is wishful thinking/blind optimism that one of those three will be successful in '08. The same kind of wishful thinking can be applied to our 3-5 SP's as is.
  20. I'm predicting Danks will have a very good season. I am not confident that both Floyd and Contreras will be able to handle the rigors of starting 30+ games based on what I have seen out them the last few years.
  21. predictably, more stuff thrown at Huckabee from his past: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politic...hi_tab01_layout
  22. So is Crede still close to going to the Brewers or is this dead for now?
