  1. How was the Denver Special Teams the past few years? Bears hire Rodgers as their ST coach. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2015/01/19/bea...ms-coordinator/
  2. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 16, 2015 -> 11:24 AM) I'm in the same boat. Any reason why Dick Labeau wouldn't be considered as the DC? He's got a pretty decent resume... Apparently he is going to Arizona.
  3. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 16, 2015 -> 08:53 AM) @RapSheet I may be crazy (possible) but I continue to hear the same refrain about #Bears GM Ryan Pace. He’s being very deliberate. Taking his time. Could be a while guys. Might want to ease up on those refresh buttons. Dude cmooooooooonnnnn Commme ooooooooooonnnn
  4. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jan 15, 2015 -> 08:18 PM) B&B seem to almost exclusively only put idiots on the air just so they can complain how stupid everyone is. Its amazing that their show is the only one who has all the bad calls, they just love to s*** on the callers. That's the theme of their show though. I think they have taken on a mission to rid all the meatball and stupid fan perspectives that plague a lot chicago sports. It's their intentions to take dumb calls to clear misconceptions and dumb sports ideas.
  5. I am a big Nate Jones fan and I would loooooove to see him come back healthy and pitch well.
  6. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 15, 2015 -> 04:34 PM) They aren't talking months. They are talking two weeks at most. They could talk to him in between the playoffs and Super Bowl if they win next week. There is no rush here. More poor decisions are made if you do it too quickly. There is no way to tell if Fox is a better candidate than Quinn, if you don't talk to him. All this is probably moot as the reports are it's Fox waiting not the Bears. However, the same idea applies. He needs to sit back and decide what is best for him. Should the Bears be upset that he didn't jump right away. It isn't black and white. It isn't if Fox impressed or not. He could have been impressive but Accorsi and the group said Quinn was as well. fox is not going anywhere there is no it has to be today or never. If you wait weeks how many of the assistants are going to be picked up by other teams in that time? So you wont have the choices you would like to build a staff and then you are going to the Senior Bowl to scout what players for what system/scheme? Its really important to get this done sooner rather than later.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 15, 2015 -> 04:26 PM) The people calling in to The Score are making me sad for humanity LOL that is pretty much always the case on there. Every once in a while there will be a call with someone with some insight.
  8. B&B really annoy the hell out of me with their random "sources" that they claim to have. I cant remember the last time they actually broke real news via their sources. And their sources usually are claiming things that cant ever be verified as true or not so they have nothing to loose. Like how the Bears ownership feels or what Bulls management is thinking. Stuff they never have to really back up.
  9. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 15, 2015 -> 01:15 PM) No. Young Shanny has only been an OC in Houston, Washington, and Cleveland. He did well with that Cleveland team which is saying a whole freaking lot.
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 15, 2015 -> 01:11 PM) DaBearsBlog @dabearsblog Source tells me Kyle Shanahan has told multiple people he expects to be Bears offensive coordinator this year & is eager to work w/Cutler. Lets get it rolling then folks.
  11. If Fox does become the next HC of the Bears I would love to know why there was a delay in it happening. Where is the hesitation or the indifference coming from? Was it anything to do with Phillips counting the money involved? Was it Pace rubbing him the wrong way and giving him second thoughts? Very curious.
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 15, 2015 -> 10:51 AM) how much did you lose on the 06 Superbowl. Be honest I had no money to gamble at that time.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 15, 2015 -> 10:45 AM) (i totally hope my previous comment doesnt come back to burn me) Oh you are getting burned on it. You have bet on the Bears and it will almost always burn you.
  14. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 15, 2015 -> 10:41 AM) On a sidenote, all of my points above go back to the point that it is extremely obvious...John Fox will be the next Bear head coach. It just makes too much sense. Why did he leave without taking the job? I dont think it is a sure thing by any means. I think he wants more control over player personnel and Pace said nope, take it or leave it.
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 15, 2015 -> 09:42 AM) @JasonPhilCole: #NFL exec source says John Fox is getting the #Bears job. I will believe it when its done. Things still smell really Bearsy right now and I am just waiting to see how they screw everything up.
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 05:25 PM) Why read tomorrow's paper when it is happening today. This is a new and improved era of Bears football!! Lead by Doug Marrone!
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 05:21 PM) Noway, no how. If you are so sure stop checking this thread Gage. You stop right now. Sit back and wait to read tomorrows paper.
  18. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 05:18 PM) Most likely but that doesn't mean Chicago doesn't try and push for him. Its all a moot point anyway as I'd be stunned if Fox isn't the next head coach of the Bears. Stunned. We have seen the Bears botch many of hires. You shouldnt be stunned. This can get ugly and I just get this feeling it may be about to.
  19. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 05:16 PM) No if it isn't Fox, it is Austin or Quinn. Quinn is going to Atlanta though! Oh this is too much! Gee Golly!
  20. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 05:10 PM) If they are in the midst of an interview, I wouldn't expect much to come out, since everyone is in the room together the whole time (outside of pee breaks). The interview has been done for a while though hasnt it?
  21. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 05:03 PM) Who would be competition for Fox? Atlanta? That and its possible he doesnt even land a HC job and sits out for a year. Maybe he is seeking more personnel control that Pace is not willing to give up.
  22. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 04:49 PM) Supposedly he said this on ESPN Radio 1000. You would think more would leak out after the interview than what has so far. Which is nothing pretty much.
  23. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 04:14 PM) @ProFootballTalk: Report: 49ers set to hire Jim Tomsula as head coach http://t.co/hMkXjmzq3l They interviewed like 89 people to hire someone in house.
  24. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 04:08 PM) Wow, SF hires their own DL coach to HC. Wow I thought Gase had that job in the bag.
