  1. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 18, 2015 -> 12:20 PM) Fox was asked if there is a player to build around on defense. He said Kyle Fuller, he mentioned Jay Ratliff second. He didnt mention Shea McClellin in there anywhere?!
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 18, 2015 -> 09:59 AM) I think Abbattacola is a good bet. Goff would surprise me, he loves his gig with Sirius "Off the Dribble" I would be just as happy with him. Goff always acts as if he loves his gig though as you probably should play off to the public as a professional. He loved his gig in Atlanta too so I dont know. Its a long shot but I have a feeling.
  3. My bet is that its Jason Goff. Its a long shot but I just have a feeling.
  4. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 17, 2015 -> 04:07 PM) MLB Network needs to have their former players do more homework. Kevin Millar and Harold Reynolds really don't know what is going on. Those two are fun and have the gift of gab but they arent the smartest of baseball people. From a baseball perspective that can be a problem.

    Snowmageddon 2015

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 17, 2015 -> 02:08 PM) I hope everyone has their car batteries charged up for the next couple days And faucets dripping.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 16, 2015 -> 11:39 AM) I don't know anything about Zanie's but if you haven't been to that area of Rosemont recently, there are tons of bars and restaurants over there now, tons of stuff to do. I really love it out there. We stayed at the Loews Hotel in Rosemont for VDay weekend which was a really modern, clean and had an adult focused hotel atmosphere. Nice art gallery and good restaurant. Plus, like you said. There are a ton of restaurants, bars, and there is a bowling alley right by Zanies. There is the casino right down the way as well. Plus the indoor skydiving place.
  7. Yes I am here. wha wha whaaaaa
  8. Has there been any hint to what is going to happen to the 9-12 show slot on the Score as of yet?
  9. QUOTE (Lillian @ Feb 13, 2015 -> 12:34 PM) None of you have commented on what was, at least for me, the most interesting and debatable thing that he said. He asserted that Beckham was the best defensive second baseman in the League. He also said that he was the best at turning the double play. Many on this board would disagree, vehemently. Even the notion that he might be the starting second baseman raises questions. Hawk said that Sanchez could not cover the ground, or throw like Beckham. Thoughts? Well...Hawk tends to sensationalize some of the attributes that many of the Whitesox players have. Pretty much all the time.
  10. QUOTE (shysocks @ Feb 13, 2015 -> 10:12 AM) HEY HEY HEY, IT'S MATT ALBERS. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 13, 2015 -> 10:40 AM) Who invited the fun police? QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 13, 2015 -> 10:44 AM) Can PECOTA re-run their projection? At my desk.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 13, 2015 -> 09:46 AM) I might be the last Hawk Homer left in the world, but I love the guy. Sure he doesn't know when to shut up at times, but I love the fact that he articulates what I am thinking during the game. When I am pissed, he is ranting. When I am thrilled, he is over the moon. I don't want to think about the day that Hawk isn't in the booth. He is pretty much the only voice of the White Sox I can remember. Except for the 2005 playoffs, the guy is the soundtrack to every single great memory I have of my favorite team. I am with you on all of this but its the in between that kills me. His random negative opinions of people that he has because they dont buy into 100% of what he says is annoying. His stubbornness with downplaying sabermetrics and his constant rambling about TWTW and embellishment of made up stories gets old. But like you said, all the other stuff he brings to the telecast is right on point and I still enjoy him too.
  12. I dont know about Hahn not being done yet. I am pretty comfortable with saying he will not make another major move before the season starts. Midseason? Yeah I can see that happening for sure but as far as this offseason and going into ST he is pretty much done other then the subtle roster moves.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 12, 2015 -> 04:49 PM) MLB Daily Dish ‏@mlbdailydish 5h5 hours ago Latest on Yoan Moncada, with #Yankees, #Padres, and #Dodgers all interested: http://sbnation.com/e/7791204 If I was a betting man I would go all in on the Yankee's getting him. Jeter being gone and their need for the next star replacement at shortstop. They probably see Yoan as being the perfect candidate to do that.
  14. I have moved past counting on Dank's a long time ago. Maybe he can be a serviceable innings eater in the number 5 spot but there is no chance on Gods green earth does he become the lead story of our pitching staff or even close to the guy we thought he would be two years ago. He doesnt have it anymore...face reality here people.
  15. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 10, 2015 -> 05:16 PM) Yeah I have trouble feeling bad for Shields here. His agent sucks and Shields career is a perfect example of why but now Shields gets to play at home and has the absolute best chance to prove his naysayers wrong. Friedman sure worked his agent over years back. I don't know why any pitcher would sign a contract with a bunch of performance-based team options that entailed him reaching free agency for the first time at 33. Friedman worked over the agent for Longoria too. He is really good at it.
  16. I cant help be feel bad for the guy. You know he was busting his ass to try to come into ST and prove himself. Bad baseball player or not it sucks to see season sending injuries.

    Snowmageddon 2015

If I still lived in the city I wouldn't be opposed to start an anonymous group that removes all dibs from the city streets outside of the reasonable time period of the dib. Like today for example. After the snow has been cleared and there hasnt been an accumulating snowfall in a weeks time there is no reason why everyone still stakes claim to the parking spots they have dibs on. In a lot of neighborhoods they still hold dibs after all snow is gone. Its a freaking joke.
  18. So I have now watched Frozen for the 289th time. Decent movie I suppose but I was satisfied after the second time for sure. Good lord I wish my kids would pick a new movie.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 02:53 PM) In my house we call it New Years Day. LOL that is so true.
  20. My favorite time of year is the opening of the baseball season. Oh I cant wait.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 12:31 PM) I'm surprised that clown hasn't killed himself yet. Well he certainly has had some inner demons that he has dealt with over the years and is a radio blow-hard but I sure hope he doesn't kill himself.
  22. I am curious to see if Rodon is a hardass like Sale. If he has the same type of edgy competitiveness to him that will be pretty awesome to see the two feed off of one another.
  23. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 5, 2015 -> 08:14 AM) No kidding, im sure some people will be losing their job soon. Everytime I see that video i think to myself "that taxi driver probably needed a new pair of shorts" I thought to myself if that taxi was THAT unlucky to get clipped by an airplane you would think fate would have just taken him out all together with that one. But I presume it could go the other way with luck as well, as it did.
  24. Mark Grote got the Cubs pre and post radio job. I am happy for him but I will miss him on the Score. I personally think he is a better fit to do sports talk shows instead of the more serious stuff with pre and post game because he such a funny guy but he will still do great.
