QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 09:49 AM) I wonder if the Kap to 670 stuff was him floating that to get a new deal from WGN. I also wonder if there is a hesitance for someone to want to come to the score knowing the other guys they are going to have to work with. B&B have always been hard on other media members and they would be doing transition with Kap and Haugh if they were to come over. And they particularly are relentless in making fun of Haugh in the past, deservedly so. The Score seems so "clicky". But they did work with Murph and North for some time who they still make fun of so I guess it doesnt have to stop talent from working there all together. I bet it makes it difficult though for some to be lured there .

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 5, 2015 -> 01:13 PM) No we don't. I don't know the last time you took me to a nice dinner. Liar pants! You probably don't even remember the anniversary of our friendship. LOL we will probably be coming to Cali in the spring or early summer this year so I will buy you guys a steak dinner then.
-
We usually celebrate our anniversary by staying at a hotel somewhere and having a nice dinner. Nothing special tho really.

So Danny Mac turned down the multi year offer from the Score to come back. Kinda glad he isnt coming back but I will just hate it if Kap and Haugh are the second option then I would have rather had Mac.

Dont get me wrong. I agree he should sign with a team that has a bad outfield and can use him but I predict that ultimately he will get picked up by a contending team down the stretch run as some pop off the bench. I can see some teams that need power (and there will be teams that are contending that will need it) seeing tank bring that value in a power stricken league.
-
Yeesh...I really didnt think he was THAT bad for it to come to this. A couple months ago many thought the Sox were going to get something from the M's for him. I am calling it. He will become a valuable and dangerous bat off the bench for a playoff team this year.

QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 3, 2015 -> 06:17 PM) On the otherhand putting american cheese on eggs instead of cheddar seems unforgivable. LOL this is her approach to this matter.

QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 4, 2015 -> 07:06 AM) Promote Herb! I like Herb a lot. I think he has some work to do on his speech though. He stutters and has trouble getting through reads a lot of the time but he is funny and has a great personality.

An aftershock of snow during rush-hour is not what I wanted this evening. It will take me about 3 and half hours to get home for sure and I am not even exaggerating.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 3, 2015 -> 04:44 PM) hope you tip well I have to. She leaves me no choice.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 3, 2015 -> 04:35 PM) That's my dad. Without fail there is something wrong with his meal and he's 65 with no filter so he complains in the most rude way possible (without realizing he's being rude). I cringe. I've told him before to wait until my food comes to complain. My wife scrutinizes the utensils and water glass and pretty much ALWAYS finds something on them and asks for new ones. She does it nicely but I know what the waiter/waitress is thinking already (f*** Im screwed this b**** is gonna be a pain).

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 3, 2015 -> 04:25 PM) The movie Waiting has forever scarred me when it comes to complaining at restaurants. They have to screw up in a major way (pre-meal) for me to say much of anything. Yeah I am the same way. I have to tell my wife to be quiet about the little things she will nitpick on (like they put american instead of cheddar cheese in my eggs) so they dont do something nasty to our food. She is awful for being particular when it comes to food so you could only imagine the quiet arguments we have at our restaurant table frequently.

probably 1995 at the Grandstand on 35th.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 3, 2015 -> 04:09 PM) It pays to be a complainer, especially at the lower levels. The more attention you get by complaining, the more likely you are to get taken care of. Signed A loud complainer. This I would say goes for pretty much everything and everywhere most of the time. If you complain at a restaurant or movie theater or a doctors office you are going to get compensated somehow. Everyone there will hate you but you will get something out complaining for sure.

My personal wish would be that the Score promote one of the producers to be Speigels new side kick. There are probably 5 of them that deserve it and are good enough to do it...not to mention Grote who I really enjoy but he does weekends. But they wont do this. They are going to go for "a name guy" like usual.

And really I think Haugh is one of the worst opinions on almostd every subject in Chicago sports. He isn't funny and doesn't bring any ideas or thoughts to the table that make me think other than him being an idiot.
-
Kap an Haugh are freaking unbearable. That will be awful if they bring them on but at least it will be at the time of day when I don't listen to the radio.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jan 30, 2015 -> 05:20 PM) Mannelly was only ok on the air but dear lord there is no one in the business worse than Kaplan. Wait what? Mannelly has already been let go? Is Speigel gone too?

Give me an off-season you enjoyed more than this 2014-2015...

QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 30, 2015 -> 07:04 AM) GET OUT OF MY HEAD! LOL I have a taste for pizza tonight too! -
I know what you are thinking but 2006 wasn't it. Yes we were all still rolling off the high we had from the 05' WS but we were still exhausted and fully satisfied from winning. This off- season has been exciting, fresh and more intriguing than any other I can remember. As a fan even if this team ultimately fails I have been entertained and have enjoyed every second of our whitesox talk. What is even more satisfying is that the moves made don't even make you feel yucky or hesitant to get your hopes up for the next season. It's all good right now sox fans.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 29, 2015 -> 07:58 PM) 8 month pregnant women. They tend to get pissed about dumb s***. Well you should know that if you think it was dumb s*** you are the number one asshole involved in the situation and will loose this battle for sure. You are the dumb s***. Congratulations.

QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 29, 2015 -> 04:43 PM) i agree with you, but considering he is the last somewhat good sp, he is the only option..... but not more than 3 yrs. can you envision, come wild card series, Sale has pitched 200 innings as well as Q and Jeff S. you going to need to run out a pitcher for a tie game. Rodon has pitched 150 + innings.... up next, Beck, Erik Johnson, Hector. So Hahn is going to pay a guy like Shields 100 mil going under the assumed hypothetical situation that none of our top 3 will be able to pitch in a deciding WC game?

Do you really want a photographer there for that? You are going to have so many moments captured on film for the upcoming months and your future lives that moment should just be for you and your future wife to remember in my opinion. Congrats btw

I think this would have had a good chance of happening if the Samardijza deal didn't happen.
