There goes one bench option

Tony Campana suffered a torn ACL during a recent training session and most likely will miss the 2015 season.

One less person in Brian Anderson's way!

I cant help be feel bad for the guy. You know he was busting his ass to try to come into ST and prove himself. Bad baseball player or not it sucks to see season sending injuries.

Too bad for Campana. Maybe Engel Beltre gets an invite now.

I do wish we kept Danks.

Shuck and Taylor were already options ahead of him, especially with Bonifacio on the roster.

Not a big deal, but always sad to see, especially for a speed-based player.

Odds are pretty high that someone else will be added to the roster before Opening Day via the waiver wire or trade.

Yea, Campana could use some help carrying his stuff to his car ;)

I like Shuck. Also Trayce T. if we're just talking 4th OF. He's a prospect but we're nearing the point where midyear if we wanted we could sacrifice his everyday playing for organizational betterment.

Is Matt Davidson as an all-bat LF out of the question? I bring all this up only b/c of how weak our OF depth is in the org

Do we sign a September pinch runner now?

If Jacob May plays well in Birmingham that will be his job

Or Micah, if he's not a starter at that point.

Welp. Time for another rebuild.

For real. It is the off season for sure, because in June this would be a catch all footnote.

You never know what can happen injurywise. That is why I would have kept Danks too. I still wonder why we have a no hit utility infielder on the 40 man. I guess we promote from the minors unless there is a good FA option out there

Campana has been released officially.

  • 1 year later...

Welcome back.

I was trying to think of htis guy the other day and I couldn't remember his name. For some reason kept thinking Peter Bourjos, but i knew that wasn't right. Just the other skinny fast guy who plays CF.

Bourjos has had a much better MLB career though, mostly with the Angels and Cards.

Campana's barely had a cup of coffee.

I'm aware. Hence why I knew it wasn't him - just knew they were similar players and he name was escaping me.

I know that feeling.
