  1. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Nov 25, 2016 -> 12:35 PM) You shall eat paninis forever LOL this is so damn true. I will be paninied out by mid January im sure.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 25, 2016 -> 12:01 PM) Do you have to have any sort of separate insurance policy for that? Like, if you are playing with a bunch of friends and one of them blows out a knee, are you on the hook if the guy wants to sue? I was thinking this. You know when you have older than 30 year old dudes trying to ball there is going to be someone who f***s some s*** up. LOL
  3. Got a My Pillow for my dad, easy bake oven for my girl kid southwest airplane model for my boy kid a cuisinart griddler for the MIL on amazon and saved about $50 bucks all together.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 23, 2016 -> 02:08 PM) CSN Chicago ‏@CSNChicago 15m15 minutes ago Bears don't view Jay Cutler's shoulder injury as season-ending - http://bit.ly/2fscwat #BearsTalk This is just Fox being weird about it though right? He thinks they will give a competitive advantage...at 2-8....
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 23, 2016 -> 01:28 PM) Part of the reason why people would consider dumping everyone of value is in fact, as you say, they are acknowledging the White Sox's limitations. The White Sox have payroll limitations that keep them from throwing huge amounts of money at Harper/Machado in a couple years. The White Sox have a poor history of developing players. The White Sox have one of the worst systems in baseball and have for years. Those are the White Sox's limitations. So if they do only a quick "we can turn this around in 2 years" move, acquire 4-5 guys for Sale, fail to move Frazier/Cabrera, etc., and a couple of the guys they get back for Sale or one of their top draft picks busts, then they still are totally outgunned because they tried to make things happen in 2 years and their limitations prevented them from doing so. I am not saying that you limit yourself and say you definitely will not consider unloading much of the team but you also shouldnt be so narrowed minded to think that that is the only way of rebuilding. I think one thing to get caught up in as a fan is that we dont trust the FO to rebuild a team in doing it any other way than what is an obvious rebuild like unloading every player at one time. Instead of being open to unload any player anywhere down the line if the value is what we are looking for. Maybe that is a valid fear but I am trying to keep an open mind that there are alternative ways to rebuilding and it doesnt have to be such a philosophical proclamation that they have to make to pacify a fan base. They need to grow some balls and have their own plan of rebuilding and execute it.
  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 23, 2016 -> 12:58 PM) I knew you weren't. In the context of what we were talking about it gave me the chance to yell at you though. Son.Of.A.b****. You get me every damn time.
  7. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 23, 2016 -> 12:56 PM) That's fine and dandy. Thing is if you want to speed up the process you do that by getting the best package possible, you don't worry about what league you're trading him to. If you're going to take a lesser package because you don't want to trade him with in the AL, that's a huge problem. I totally wasnt suggesting that but I can see how it might have come across as that. I was just speaking in terms of everyone wanting a complete tear down because they think its the only way to rebuild.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 23, 2016 -> 12:51 PM) [/b] I know that is what most people want, but I really see there being a barely above zero chance of that happening. Thankfully it probably wont be the way that they approach this. It is narrow minded to think that its the ONLY effective way to do a rebuild. It is one way to do it, yes, but not the only way and I wish people would get out of that mindset. I personally would rather the Sox find their own path to success than thinking that they are capable of replicating Theo Epstein. Know your limitations and build upon your strengths management.
  9. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 23, 2016 -> 12:36 PM) Exactly. He would be on the Astros for 3 years. Do people think we will be a good team during that time? It is actually plausible that we will be pretty good. Sometimes it only takes a couple of young stars to enter into a lineup that put a team over the top. This rebuild doesnt HAVE to be what everyone thinks it needs to be in the traditional sense like the Cubs. It can be a more agile approach of adding young talent here and there as we go slowly building the best possible fits along the way. It doesnt have to be shipping it all out at one time to suck for 5 years to prove to the fan that its an official rebuild.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 22, 2016 -> 12:37 PM) The problem is that he has just been surrounding with some awful teams. Yeah he hasn't done anything to help the matter, but this is just a horrible run of Bears teams. I refuse to make excuses for him anymore though. He is one unlucky motherf***er to always have a combo/collection/one bad element of bad coaching, bad line, bad receivers, bad play calling, bad route running that lead to his doom.
  11. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Nov 22, 2016 -> 11:43 AM) I feel so bad for Cutler. Sure he had bad games, but fans NEVER gave him credit to what he actually brought to the field day in and day out. His toughness speaks volumes playing through injury and going through the BS he had too. Meatheads and the national media will never give this guy any credit. I for one thank you Jay Cutler for what you brought to the city of Chicago and the BS that you had to put up with. I cant say I feel bad for him. He was supposed to win when he came here. He didnt. He was supposed to be one of the better QB's in the game. He wasnt. Even when fans came around to accept him for what he was he under performed to that expectation as well. That invited all the unfair criticism and he has to just put on his big boy pants and accept it because, by in large, he failed here.
  12. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 21, 2016 -> 07:56 PM) What area? We stayed here... http://www.wyndhamriomar.com/photos.aspx Just about a 45 minute drive outside of Old SanJuan and its right next to the rain forest. Really a perfect location in my opinion.
  13. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 21, 2016 -> 01:02 PM) My fiancée and I are looking for a place to go to for a 4 night-3 day trip after we get married (probably May 11th-15th) that isn't going to be super expensive. We want to go to a beach city that has plenty to do (attractions, shopping, restaurants, nice beach), any suggestions? Me and the wife just went to Puerto Rico last year around this time and it was pretty cheap. Really enjoyed it.
  14. I think many expected to see some development and some execution in their plan. As it stands now, Pace and Fox are divided. They appear to never have been on the same page. So many injuries, the appearance that there is no order in the org, no one on the same page, people pointing fingers and blame passing and when pretty much everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong makes people a bit uneasy. A rebuild is one thing but when you lay the new foundation and start putting the bricks up again only to see things crumble from the get go is a whole different story.
  15. I think that after about the third mannequin challenge I was completely over it and now it just pisses me off to the level of cursing at my computer when I see one start to play in my timeline.
  16. QUOTE (hi8is @ Nov 18, 2016 -> 10:47 AM) Who are you? Again... wife dropped phone in toilet. Some contacts lost. -Epic Meal Time Rick Hahn You are ruining your own thread. lol Hahn wouldnt even remotely act like that. Maybe if you went with a personality that had more believable Hahn type dry humor it would be funny?
  17. This could actually be an EPIC thread but hi8is is being to silly to allow it. Dude you are so self destructive. lol
  18. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 18, 2016 -> 09:42 AM) Somebody on twitter posted this. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudobulbar_affect Could be a possibility, but it seems it is some sort of injury to the head/brain. I am sure this is what happened. When I seen him reacting like that I immediately thought it had to literally be due to his injury and not an actual emotional reaction. He has only had one concussion before and it was just to soon to process what was going on enough to emotionally react that way.
  19. I will be scared to death that no matter how much of a haul that we may appear to have gotten that they can all be bad and we just gave away a HOF pitcher for them.
  20. Simple question but I am confused in regards to all the different sad options. Hmm.....
  21. QUOTE (peavy44 @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 02:55 PM) The braves are not that serious about sale. Fair point.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 11:33 AM) No link? Uh see if this works. https://www.facebook.com/spiceadams95/video...28666453835968/
  23. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 11:18 AM) If Fox is coach next year I'm going to imagine he pushes for something like that. Would it be crazy for me to hope that Fox is coach next year just so we can keep Fangio? I think our defense is going to be what brings us back to being competitive one day and I really don't think there is a better guy for that.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 16, 2016 -> 10:29 AM) Same here. The track with Elton John is so good. Have you seen the meme with Spice Adams listening to the album the first time? That was me. LOL
  25. I would prefer not to sign a guy who we will hate to watch as long as his is on our team. I am kind of done with those type of experiments. We all know we will rip him and hate his play because he will be pretty damn useless offensively which is just more of what we have seen since AJ left.
