the why is that chavez is an all star thrid baseman who will not be batting like this as the year goes on. In addition the man can put us over the top. The trouble is do you give up a talent like BMAC. but there is no doubt I give up crede and any other minor leager they want.

THis is totally out of left field, way out there... what if Mcarthy was a show case against the Cubs to set up this trade. El duque is scheduled top come back friday and was compeltely reluctant to go on the DL, in addition the sox were so secretive on this whole BMAC thing, plus the fact that Ozzie pulled him early. My opinion is you add to your team, without giving up many if any on your current roster and certainly not any who start regularly. We are adding to the nucleus not subtracting. I think its wise to look for a trade but it won't include crede unless a bonafide superstar is coming as part of a trade to change the whole aura of this team to take them to the next level. Polanco minus crede does not get us much closer even though crede blows. I would think a middle relief and middle infielder is more the norm to add to this team.

I believe he is arbitration eligible, and we will probably resign him for another year. We will wait that year out and see what fields is doing. He probably won't cost more than 1.5 million. I think he just stays another year.

griffey makes pefect sense actually. I talked to some people in cinci today and he claims they are seriously shopping griffey. They can't find anyone, but this makes real good sense. Especially with graves designated for assignment. Reds like young cheap players.

there is no doubt someone is hurt, and it appears from the last start that elduque had its probably him. His velocity was way down and missed all his spots, this is disturbing if true. I really do not want to see Mcarthy pitching yet, and it is also disturbing that the sox have not released any info.

How about answering a phone sometime.

I guess thats where Ozzie loses me, because the only decision he will have tonight is a loss. He will be losing when he gets pulled, if the sox pull this out it will be a hell of a lot later than when he checks out.
