We did the Bright Angel trail when we were there in April. We went down about 6 miles to a viewpoint where you can actually see the river down below. It is about the halfway point to making it to the bottom. We then went back up to the top. I was ready to be done well before we made it back to the top but we made it. That is about the farthest that is recommended to do in 1 day. Don't know if we'll go back but it would be cool to go all the way to the bottom. You need a couple days for that though.

I'm going to Minnesota next weekend. Going to go to sox v twins game i think on saturday. I know we have some locals so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for places to go or things to eat/drink. I assume I'll have to get a juicy lucy and go to surly, but I'd love to hear anything else you might recommend.

Garcia (RF) Palka (DH) Narvaez (C) Anderson (SS) BN Castillo (C), Delmonico (LF), Sanchez (IF), Davidson (3B), L. Garcia (OF) SP Rodon, Kopech, Morton, Giolito, Lopez (Stephens/Adams in AAA) RP Burdi, Hamilton, Fry, Cedeno, Covey, Burr I'd make Avi/Delmonico and Davidson/Palka close to a straight platoon (Eloy in RF when Delmonico plays). Use Sanchez at SS more to rest Anderson against tough righties. Leury would unfortunately rarely play but you need a backup CF and he has a lot of valuable skills. Also you'd need a manager who has the ability to mix and match the lineup enough that everyone stays engaged (my vote is Vizquel). Obviously the 6 man bullpen is probably not realistic but there are always injuries which could open a spot for an additional reliever (Danish/Guerrero)

Jason Heyward supposedly took less money to sign with cubs than what the cardinals were offering. I think as long as the offers are in the same ballpark than other factors like the culture/chance to win/location definitely come into play.
