Interesting night on the farm tonight. Scoreboard

Birmingham - Flores
Winston Salem - Battenfield
Kannapolis - Harrington
Great Falls - Stiever
AZ - Madrigal supposedly playing
You mentioned how Rooney's transfer to Man U was inevitable. I've always wondered how fans of the lesser known teams deal with knowing any time they have a good player, they will be sold to one of the giants within a few years. Does it make it harder to remain a loyal fan to a team like Everton?
I don't know about the scout seats, but I went to a double header last year and they stopped selling beer (and most everything else) after the second inning of the second game.
We had the grand idea of just going to the second game so we basically got screwed.
Birmingham now has 6 starting pitchers. Dunning/Cease/Hansen/Flores/Clarkin/Guerrero. I wonder which of Clarkin or Guerrero gets moved to the pen.
They also have 5 outfielders but they'll probably do a rotation similar to what WS was doing.
'05 when he went on an inning long mini-rant about how much better we were than the redsox. Better starting pitcher, better bullpen, better situational hitting... he was proven right in the playoffs.
And of course "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, WEGNER?!"
The Knights game that they showed on TV in Chicago where Kopech pitched, he didn't appear to be over throwing or maxing out every pitch to me. It was fairly smooth and easy motion and he was 95-98 with good movement.
This has bothered me about Benetti as well, haven't been able to figure out how to describe it.
I find DJ and Farmer pretty funny.
I think when Farmer retires, Benetti goes to the radio with DJ and we can get a better guy to pair with stone in the TV booth.
I realize the contracts like Hossa's werent given out in good faith and that something needed to be done to stop them from happening. But the contracts were legal at the time. The recapture penalty should have had a grandfather clause or something.
Having a surplus also could save you in a year where you lose one of your main guys for an extended period.
I believe the Cardinals won the world series in a season where wainwright missed the whole year.
