  1. Goor said in this article that they didn't write it as a series finale. I'd expect them to get renewed. Hopefully they'll announce the renewal soon.
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 26, 2017 -> 01:43 PM) Sorry for not looking up but did he complete the game or leave at 6? Came out after 6. ERA at 0.35
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 04:00 PM) Most of the games are going to be on TNT. And you know how well the Bulls do on TNT... but none are on thursday, and the streak is only for home games.
  4. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 01:32 PM) Probably not a great sign that I dread Guolito starts rather than looking forward to them. The gun readings are just too depressing, at least he's been pitching same day as Dunning to soften the blow. Speaking of neither of them, are people no longer excited about Spencer Adams. he's only 21 (today, happy birthday spencer, have a beer!) and at AA. His walk rate is still great. Is it just the low K rate that has everyone cooling on him?
  5. I am going tonight. Hope it isn't too cold once the sun goes down.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 3, 2017 -> 03:35 PM) The NHL will NOT be sending players to the 2018 Olympics. That's a bummer, Hawks injuries be damned. Olympic hockey is awesome and it won't be the same without the top players. I wonder how many NHL players will go anyway. It's only two weeks or so worth of games they'll have to miss. I know ovechkin has said he'd go either way but I wonder if it will even be allowed.
  7. QUOTE (joejoedairy @ Mar 14, 2017 -> 03:02 PM) Duke, Kansas, Arizona and Kentucky Arizona over Kentucky in the final 0 for 4
  8. Duke, Kansas, Arizona and Kentucky Arizona over Kentucky in the final
  9. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 10:11 AM) Mark Buehrle is my favorite Sox pitcher of all time so I will be there. Mark Buehrle is my favorite Sox player of all time so, damn it I won't be there. Family reunion weekend.
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 22, 2017 -> 08:41 AM) I'm fairly convinced that CBJ and MIN are fools gold. I don't know. I thought MIN looked great the last time the hawks played them but crawford kept them in it. Last night, the hawks outplayed them in the second but MIN didnt look worried and kept getting chances in the third. I think they're pretty legitimate. Still think the hawks can take them down in the playoffs though, I like the way the lines are set up now. Having Hossa and Kruger on the checking line is quite a luxury.
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 8, 2017 -> 11:04 PM) Everyone is raving about the premier for Legion. Will check it out over the weekend. I just watched it last night. It was really weird but very good. I'll definitely keep watching. A lot will depend on the main actor and he seems pretty good so far. ( i never watched downton abbey) Also, the creator of the Fargo tv series is behind Legion as well so that gives me high hopes.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 7, 2017 -> 12:36 PM) Crazy. I wonder how much longer he sticks around. As long as he wants
  13. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Feb 6, 2017 -> 04:59 PM) Same. Every one ive ever done is 1,2,3, final. Isn't this unfair to anyone who ends up with the same number for each side? If you have 3,3 your options for winning are lowered if the pool doesn't pay a tie at the end of the 4th quarter.
  14. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 2, 2017 -> 12:47 PM) Do you know who could help make his defense not matter as much? Jimmy Butler Doing your plan and ending up with 3 lottery picks in this draft would definitely be exciting. IF Boston were willing to give up those 2 Nets picks plus a player or two for Butler I would have to seriously consider it. But, you keep asking everyone what the path to winning a championship is if you keep Butler, which is impossible to answer because we have no idea who will come available or who might develop or if there are injuries to any key players. You would be unable to answer that same championship path question with your plan because we have no idea who they would draft and how they would develop. Firing Gar would certainly be a good start though.
  15. QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ Feb 2, 2017 -> 08:01 AM) I'm a teacher and my schedule isn't exactly conducive to a longer trip to Arizona for ST--our spring break is the last week when it seems kind of pointless to go out with the regular season just around the corner. I'm not thinking this year, but maybe in the future...do you think a three-day weekend trip would be worth it? Say my wife and I fly out Thursday evening and fly back on Sunday. (or Friday to Monday) She's a Cubs fan so we'd go to at least a game for each. Any pronounced advantages to seeing the Sox at Glendale as opposed to another park? Both times I've gone its been just for a long weekend. Its enough time. Glendale is pretty far west from scottsdale/phoenix/tempe (20-30 miles depending where you stay). the cubs stadium is in mesa which is much closer. If you have a car, its obviously not that big of a deal to get there and if you've never been to camelback you should check it out.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 31, 2017 -> 07:59 AM) Also from Mike & Mike: They were saying on Mike and Mike that one of the reason that the front office didn't like Thibs and Jimmy is that they tried to screw him on his previous contract and told him if he didn't sign his smaller restricted option they would give his minutes to Jimmy Snell and limit his stats so he didn't get a max deal. And that Thibs said no way and played Jimmy anyway. If that's true that is wrong on so many levels and it's no surprise that they never get free agents to come. I got the above third party and will try to verify. Ryen Russillo said the same thing on his show Friday
  17. Of the top 100 NHL players honored over the weekend at the All-Star game, 6 of them are current players. 3 of those are Blackhawks: Toews, Kane and Keith. I don't know enough to know if any of them really deserved it but 3 rings in this era is going to make an impression. Either way its a nice honor for those guys. The other 3 current players are Crosby, Ovechkin and Jagr.
  18. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jan 15, 2017 -> 12:46 AM) Just finished Sneaky Pete. Holy s*** that was good Just started this last night. The cast is pretty solid and the behind the camera talent makes me pretty confident I'll be enjoying this one. Graham Yost (Justified & The Americans), David Shore (House) and of course Bryan Cranston
  19. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jan 27, 2017 -> 08:35 AM) If that's the case, then he should definitely pass. Newman is not an acceptable second piece unless Meadows is the headliner. Would you take just Meadows and Newman and maybe a lesser pitcher. I think I would, need some hitting prospects.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 27, 2017 -> 02:10 PM) Is he saying Collins is a better hitter than he thought or Thaiss? From my reading I think he said he's much better than Thaiss and also a better hitter than he thought pre-draft.
  21. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jan 26, 2017 -> 08:42 AM) Wow.. So, this means Law has Keller higher than Glasnow. I wonder if that is how the Pirates rank them.
  22. Toews had 4 points (really 3) last night. Maybe he's about to turn it on
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 16, 2017 -> 07:54 AM) Holy s*** was last nights episode of Sherlock amazing. It was almost what the movie Saw set out to be, but totally failed at. It was a great episode and a great season. That seemed like it was probably the end of the series though which is too bad.
  24. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jan 17, 2017 -> 12:36 PM) SXSW? I went back in '09. Great time, not sure I'd go back now though from what I here it's not what it was, too many tech bros, not about the music and party anymore so much. Seems similar to Burning Man or Coachella once a festival gets too big it loses some of what made it unique. Austin in March is great as is the gulf coast. We drove from Houston to Galveston, stayed two nights on the beach in San Padre (the actual national seashore not the party beach) and then drove to Austin for SXSW. Gotta make a spring trip somewhere almost every year or I go stir crazy up North. The nice thing about Phoenix is it feels so nice and open and warm coming from Seattle where everything is gloomy that time of year. Not going to be there for SXSW actually. Just have heard good things about Austin and have wanted to go for a while.
  25. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 16, 2017 -> 01:56 PM) So jealous. I watch that show with my kid every single day now, I would love to be on it. They had a casting call in Rosemont recently, but I heard it was a madhouse and I hate people, so I didn't even go over there. You can apply to be on on their website. I think they then ask you to submit a video saying your name, job, fun facts etc. They just want to make sure you are loud/energetic enough to be good on tv. If so, they invite you to come to one of their casting call things where you solve some sample puzzles and do a little mock show type thing. (again, they are most worried about how you'll be on tv. My wife is a teacher so she had no problem with that part)
