QUOTE (chisoxfan79 @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 08:03 PM) can we hit any lefties im worried about our series against the Pirates were guaranteed to face 2 lefties seeing how they have 4 in the rotation Well, if the lefty has a decent change and/or a good breaking ball, it seems like this offense would have absolutely no chance.

We need Ozzie go on another rant... and this time actually do something!

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 07:57 PM) Great game for Paulie tonight. Great game for the entire offense tonight.

QUOTE (G&T @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 08:01 PM) Great dude. Seriously. You don't know how happy we all are for you and your fantasy team. Thanks man! Appreciate it.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 08:00 PM) seven shutouts this season ... how the f*** are we in first place????? Because the Indians are feeling the effects from not juicing up in the past couple of seasons, the Tigers have no pitching (even though we made it seem like they did), the Twins are actually in a rebuilding mode, and the Royals aren't very good.
-
well, at least I get the save for my fantasy team (even though I get the L for Danks on a great pitching performance).

Couldn't see the game today (out getting my father's day gift), but was De La Rosa actually good tonight, or was it our usual stink fest by the offense making De La Rosa look like Cy Young?

I'm kinda late on this subject, but is something wrong with Ramirez or is it because Uribe got a hit yesterday he got his starting job back?

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 10:47 AM) Well the front door might of been saved from traffic, but that doesn't mean that the backdoor isn't a freeway. The old fashioned I give it up, yet I am a virgin routine. I like the way you think... -

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 11:29 AM) I don't find it shocking that crazy things are being taught at a religious school. I bet a lot of religious schools, no matter what the religion are being taught hate and things that are lies about the past. I've gone to catholic school my whole life, and not once was I taught to hate. -
after watching the review, I really want this game!

IGN gave MGS4 only a 10 out of 10...

I'm thinking about getting an xbox360 in 09 basically for Gears of War 2... does the xbox360 have any other good games coming out?

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 09:40 PM) has lofton even swung a bat this year? I'd be shocked if he doesn't do BP at least once every other day. If he still wants to play ball and wants that 3 mil, he'd be crazy not to try and keep his skills in shape and such.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 09:39 PM) Actually...thanks to the fact that Alexei played the first 2 days of the season while he was on the bench, the O.C. has played 2 more games than Q. I knew about the first 2 games with ARam in center, but I still thought Quentin had Cabrera beat. Oh well, when thinking about it, both have play a ton so far.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 09:09 PM) LOL, the old "We're better than them so that makes everything we do ok" defense. Okay, so should we stoop down to being barbaric savages and chop of the heads of threats against us for the whole world to see? Yeah, we're no better than them so we shouldn't even allow them to live! Off with their heads!

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 08:16 PM) I don't think either Konerko or Dye will be gone. I think the plan is for Thome, Konerko, and Dye to remain in the lineup, and then one by one the Sox will leave the Sox organization...Thome I imagine will retire either this offseason or next (I could also see him sticking around the league and being a platoon player for a team like Oakland or Cleveland, but retiring seems most logical to me), Dye will be let go to free agency after 2010, and Konerko could quite possibly be gone after 2010 too, although I could see them attempting to resign him to a 2-3 year deal at the end of this contract, depending upon what type of shape his body's in and how he's been playing. I don't know. Do we really want to go through another year with those 3 base cloggers in the middle of the order? All have them have seen their best years go by (Konerko might still have hope to have a few more All-Star years as he isn't THAT old for a ballplayer). Thome loves baseball and I have a hard time seeing him leaving the Sox as for one his option will likely become guaranteed, and two, the org. loves him (IMO). So, IMO, Thome is a lock for next year. With the emergence of Quentin, Swisher likely not being as bad as he was this year, Konerko still having hope for some good seasons, and having a good stick at 3B with either Crede or Fields, I think Dye will be definitely available (or even Konerko). I just can't see us going into next year with three 1B/DH types (at this stage in their careers at least) clogging the basepaths when they get on.
-
I think he's played the most of anyone on our team, and players get banged up. Probably could use an extra day off. Maybe do what we did for Konerko and give him a day off followed by being the DH for a game.
-
did we just bold KWjr. cause he's KW's son, or because he actually signed?
-
wow, the whole organization had great pitching today... all of the minor league affiliates and the White Sox gave up a total of 9 runs. However, all of them combined only scored 8 runs. We need some hitters!

Ely with a gem for W-S. 7 IP, 0 BB, ONE HIT, and 8 K's.

is it too early to declare Wasserman a AAAA player?
