The guy is an athlete mascaraing as a baseball player. It's obvious he has no clue. Yeah Josh, one decent week after 2 months of complete suck is really gonna make the white sox wanna give you a huge contract extension and secruity at the 3B spot for the next 10 years.

I still don't understand why Fields threw to 1st on that one play with the bases loaded and 2 outs. He had all day to run and tag 3rd and get the easy safe out, yet he threw to 1st. It's an easy throw, but you gotta be smart and take the easy and safest out, especially in a crucial situation like that. However, it all worked out, so I won't look too deep into it.

A 100 mph fastball is probably the toughest pitch to bunt effectively. And you bunt with Pierzynski on 1st? WTF? With Zumaya pitching, even if Getz does get the bunt down, it's gonna basically be a hard grounder because of the velocity of the fastball. STUPID!!!!! Then, you leave Fields in to face Zumaya? Fields can't hit a 90 mph fastball, let alone a 100 mph fastball. That last swing by him was pathetic. I'm pretty sure the ball was already in the catchers glove by the time Fields swung. Why not bat Nix or Beckham there? Even if they strikeout, they provide a pretty big defensive upgrade at 3B. And guess what, Josh Fields playing 3B in the 9th cost us the deciding run. f***ING AWFUL. It's one thing to lose, but it's another thing to look like dog s*** out there and just go through the motions. I don't think anyone cares about getting beat, it's beating ourselves every single f***ing game that frustrates me. Terrible execution, physical and mental errors, horrible managerial moves, and just going through the god damn motions. Blow this s*** up. You think Atlanta would give anything worth while for Dye? Bunting is so stupid with the top of the lineup as well. I agree with Fathom, it only makes sense with a runner 2nd and no out late in a tied or close ball game. Bunting every time with a runner on 1st is so stupid. Getz actually has been hitting the ball well lately, so we decide to have him bunt with Pierzynski on first? You gotta be kidding me. If that bunt isn't absolutely perfect by Getz, Pierzynski's gonna be nailed at 2nd every time. Idiotic.

I like Storen and was gonna do a draft profile of him tonight. He has a good attitude and he sounds smart. I wouldn't mind him at 23, but it'd be awesome if he fell to 38. However, my guess is that we will pick Chad Jenkins. Big work horse who induces a lot of ground balls, should progress rather quickly, is a safe pick, and should be an easy sign. We've been heavily scouting his teammate Heckathorn, from what I've read, but we've likely seen a lot of Jenkins as well. He's like a Lance Broadway type of pick, but with a lot more potential.

I want some re-tooling on the coaching staff. First one is easy, fire Walker. Get rid of Ozzie Jr... AKA Joey Cora. I got nothing against Joey, but he seems to be basically Ozzie, and I'd like to see a differing view point in there. Plus, the work he's done with the infielders does not seem to be working out. Jeff Cox needs to be moved from 3B. Too many times we've had runners either stray off for no reason, him making stupid decisions holding or sending runners, etc. I like Cox though and think he's a great guy to have around as an infielders coach or something. Not loving Harold as the 1B coach. I loved it when we had Rock as the 1B coach though. I think the 1B should have a better idea about stealing bases and knowing the finer points of it. I would love to see Ricky Henderson at this spot, but I heard at the end of 07 with the Mets, he wasn't great in the clubhouse. However, I'd love to bring Ricky in as a roving minor league hitting and base running instructor, if he wouldn't fit in as a 1B coach. I wouldn't want to see Baines go though. Maybe move him back to bench coach or as an assistant hitting coach or something.
