Gee, I was planning on a late night. BTW, these announcers on mlb.tv are the worse. I forgot how bad they are.

Bears TE Greg Olsen and the 7th Floor Crew
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 1, 2007 -> 05:22 PM) That's funny because Scarface (83) is the one movie that rappers universally try to emulate. Yep, and as rap has become more popular, the image of women has declined. We could mark '83 as the beginning of the decline.

Bush Vetos Troop Withdrawl Bill
Just hitting the wires. He said he would and he did. I am uncomfortable with the bill the way it is written and wish a better compromise could have been worked out. Stick to your guns Mr. President. This didn't take long

Could you pass a Citizenship Test?
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 1, 2007 -> 04:57 PM) 80% Don't really care, and I'm sure Uncle Sam doesn't care as long as I am a true American.......one that pays lots of taxes. No. a true American pays no taxes.

The attitude that the women who are offended should get a reality check was more offensive to me. Guys just having fun? Dissing them as hoes. Reducing them to less than human for laughs? Sorry, women have a right to be offended by that. The early eighties, when I was in college, was far different. Aids was starting to really hit. The ERA was on its death bed, the free love and drugs had run its course. Rap was just starting to gain an audience. I believe there was much more respect for people then than now. In music, on tv, and movies.

GOP Primaries/Candidates thread
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ May 1, 2007 -> 04:20 PM) Just in inject a little fun, the AP got to ask seven candidates from each party about some of their personal side. Favorite foods, alternate career path, etc. This is part 1 of the series, and apparently there will be follow-up articles. Fun article. I also see why campaign managers hate this kind of unscripted, untested, stuff.

QUOTE(knightni @ May 1, 2007 -> 04:10 PM) Going to Jacobs Field on Thurs too. Making a few days of it. Do they let you holler "Free Bird!" when you get inside? LOL, I just realized how many years it has been since I was there. Forget my critique.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 1, 2007 -> 11:35 AM) She was shaking in anger???? LMAO Sure a girl wouldnt like that song. Uh Carol, he was 18 years old when he did this, in college. Lets not go overboard on what happened in a dorm or frat in college when they were 18. I am sure that a lot of things that people did in college at 18 through say whatever is not going to go on your resume. People need a reality check. Yep, there should be a 100% pass on all college behavior. This is the one time that you can treat humans like garbage plenty of time to act human later. I can't wait to you guys have daughters. You will be so much cooler than adults now "Hey man, sing that one where you stick your dick in my daughters ear, I love that"

General Reaction to Tall People
I am 6'1" and the shortest of my friends growing up. I never really thought twice about someone being tall unless they where over about 6'10" or also very muscular. Keith Van Horn in a leather trench coat is still the most intimidating human I have ever met. I didn't think twice until George Gervin started an NBA development team in town, now I look twice in case it is someone who once was famous.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 1, 2007 -> 02:05 PM) Personally, I think/hope that either way, we haven't seen the last of BA in this organization...because if we have, then we're in real trouble the next few years when our vets start walking. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Based on the current roster, I agree.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ May 1, 2007 -> 11:20 AM) I think the lyrics are hilarious, and almost everyone who ever went to college participated in stuff like this or joked like that... I'm certain Soxy and Queen rapped like that all the time . . .

Unity '08
I've been reading a number of suits from the government not fulfilling treaties. One big payout and let's end this system. No way it will last another 150 years, or at least no way it should.

Unity '08
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ May 1, 2007 -> 01:29 PM) Its been time for that for a long time, but since the American Indian community is not considered the slightest bit important politically, no one wants to step up and make any changes. Its kind of a shame. Circling back to the topic of government waste, the BIA is but one example. they are an extreme case, but there are plenty of other agencies that are just piss poor at doing their jobs. They just eat money. How do you think a private company would do to fulfill all these treaties, provide services from school to police to monitoring leases? And if a treaty is not followed who gets sued?

Wow, one stupid mistake. Well if we ever restate the draft no need to pucker up and kiss the guy next to you, just write a twisted, sick, violent essay and you will be released.

For Dems only.
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 05:34 PM) 82 inmates at Gitmo completely cleared of all charges...but the U.S. is unable to let them out, because a lot of countries don't want people back who have spent 5 years being "interrogated" by the U.S. The U.S. also indicated that of the 380 or so people still held there, only 60 to 80 would ever be put on any sort of trial, the rest will eventually be released. I can't believe on a planet this size, we can't find a place for them.

Stupid, idiotic commercials.
This must be local. Focus Factor. FREE?! It must be good! I've been using Focus Factor since we introduced it two years ago and wouldn't work a day without it.
