  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 11:09 AM) Jon Walsh doesn't believe there's a connection. At first I was thinking, why does the former James Gang and Eagles guitar player have an interest?
  2. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 10:02 PM) ..."People jumping in to defend her and her life." You mean on TV? Because I'm not sure anyone here is doing it. I think there are some people who identify with her for parlaying her looks and sexuality into a nice lifestyle, then into a winning lottery ticket.
  3. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 09:41 PM) And the people who trash people for not standing are irksome. I am rasing a green bottle of Tsingtao to you
  4. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 09:03 AM) I called the number and this is how it went thru. Hello and thank you for calling the Yankees, America's American Pie.......
  5. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 11:05 AM) I vomit towards knuckleballers... I don't vomit until the 8th and 9th inning in close games. Even with all the innings pitched and games started, Wilbur Wood was never among the leaders in complete games. Most managers just aren't comfortable with a knuckleballer on the mound and a runner at third base.

I just checked my email and received this from one of the dads in my Troop.
  7. She would have cried for any of us that died and showed us a great deal of remorse, sadness, etc. She was famous for her boobs and nailing an old billionaire. Her contribution to society will not be missed, there will be a thousand people today that will die in anonymity who contributed more as a parent, teacher, community leader, etc. than her. I'm not saying that to disparage her, but to point out the celebrity worship this country is on. People jumping in to defend her and her life. Why? Because she was famous for being famous.
  8. Note to Senate, never elect the Senator from Hawaii as Speaker.
  9. Kodos for mentioning Bush's support Boo for mentioning her sex as a reason this is being discussed.
  10. Are we posting for no apparent reason? Count me in.
  11. Seriously, I am a little perplexed why refueling is such a big deal. I can't believe it would add more than an hour or so to her flight. I understand not flying commercial, which until 2001 was good enough for everyone else, but non stop? Enjoy the extra landing and take off. IMHO I'd want her to end the controversy and fly the same plane as Hassert unless something extraordinary was happening. I don't even mind an occasional family member.
  12. QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 09:28 AM) No, he left and started his own website. That's where all the cute teenagers went . . .
  13. I am surprised there is this much support for the heat. I would have thought that cold would be leading 2:1. Y'all are smarter than I thought.
  14. I don't have a problem with the media reports. I believe it is interesting how well prepared we are for every possibility. I am wondering if having to stop for refueling is that big of an issue in heading west? If she was God forbid, required to take over as President, and was away from the WH, I could see her needing to get there and not stopping for refueling. But in the course of normal events, welcome to Omaha Madam Speaker . . . we'll be stopping for fuel.
  15. IIRC, before ethic reforms, mosty of these flights were on private planes paid for by companies looking for a little face time with a Senator.
  16. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 10:46 AM) Well sort of. Except she wants a bigger plane, and some reports have said, which she now denies FWIW, that she wanted to take her whole posse on the plane with her. The plane Hastert had use of sat 10, the one Nancy wants seats 45 and costs $22,000 to operate. Call it about a 5 hour flight each way, and you are looking at $220,000 a week for Nancy and company to fly home and back. That's a helluva way to cut the deficit, huh? I figured you as the balanced budget hawk would be a little more upset about this. good points. I was more commenting on getting a plane. There does have to be some restraints on this.
  17. It's been over thirty years since Wilbur Wood trotted out to the mound. I believe old timers will be reminiscing as Charlie takes the fifth starter spot. Oz would love the chance to have a different look and something unique.
  18. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 08:42 AM) adding up the rest over the winter, with the impending free agency, and the new workout program that has been talked about, I am going to go with Mark Buehrle. No intelligence on my part, just a gut feel, I'm thinking 18-20 wins for Buerhle. Rock solid all season. I also like Garland to continue to take steps towards the upper echelon of starters.
  19. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 10:02 AM) On this one, STFU GOP. It's a waste, sure, but if the shoes were reversed, they would do the same damn thing. IMO, she should get a plane that can fly cross-country. Maybe not a 757-200, but something that gets her over there without stopping. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070208/ap_on_go_co/pelosi_plane Hassert received the same benefit. This started after 9/11 based on succession.
  20. I think the debate isn't as much if there has been a climate change, we can prove that empirically. It is the cause and effect and what to do about it that is part of the debate and what makes science so interesting.

QUOTE(Soxy @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 08:49 AM) No, but I was in Alpha Phi Omega, so kinda maybe kinda a little tiny bit. Even cooler, that was voluntary No parents forcing you. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 08:59 AM) I made it as far as Weablos (sp?) before I got bored with it. And that is then point you are suppose to get bored with Cub Scouts and join Boy Scouts. Swap out those bb guns for .22 and 20 gauge, get out camping monthly, start hanging out with the big kids.
  22. QUOTE(bmags @ Feb 7, 2007 -> 03:06 PM) guitars in general are phallic symbols. Yep. And judging by the "guitar faces" that waaaaay to many players make, painful to play.
  23. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Feb 7, 2007 -> 09:57 PM) On another note, Charles Manson is up for parole this year. I thought he was every year.
  24. I got to thinking, people build saunas in their homes and invite the Swedish Bikini Team. They have freezers and put in turkeys.
