  1. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 02:54 PM) He's HORRIBLE. Him and then the Astros guys are the 2 worst by far. And wow does Brian make it look easy. Covers 1/3 the earth indeed. After I got past the creepiness of Milo Hamilton, I've emjoyed the Astros broadcasts, but they are my ":home team".
  2. I can't believe we had the only team in baseball without a single guy juicing, and any team that has hit as many homer runs as the Sox over the past 6 seaons, should be under suspicion. But I don't see who was as obvious as Sosa, Mac, I-Rod, Giambi
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 12:00 PM) Am I the only who would root for pretty much anyone besides Detroit? I think after all of the years of Tigers/Pistons/RedWings/Lions/Vipers hating, I couldn't ever root FOR a Detroit team, even if it were against someone like the Yankees or Red Sox... I think the only exception I could make would be against the Cubs, and since that could only happen in the World Series, I don't have to worry about that one... The Tigers are the only ones out of the group I could. I think they had vision, a multi-year plan, took some risks, and have a great season to show for it. I applaud that. I love their history. I'd rather kick their sorry ass out of the playoffs, but I'd cheer for them over all the other AL teams and every NL except the Astros
  4. As much as I wanted to disagree, Oz will, at some point, say something to end his career. LOL
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) Anyone know how many pitches JG is at after 7? 85/59
  6. Nice day JD, enjoy the rest of the day off. 3 for 3 / 4 runs scored
  7. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 02:37 PM) Uh.. save some for tomorrow please. Brings back those bad memories of 2004 Score 13 then 1, 0, 3, 15, 0, 1
  8. It's not an intentional in the scorebook, but it should be
  9. Was the battle to be allowed to sit anywhere on the bus, or was it to sit always at the front of the bus? If the driver had a request for younger children to sit up front where the driver could keep an eye on them, and fufilled that request, has she been unfairly labeled a racist? In other words, if she had assigned other kids to those seats, would it have made national news? Now, if there were empty seats they were not allowed to sit in, then by all means she's a racist idiot and should bever come in contact with humans again, but I would like to hear from her.
  10. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 08:38 AM) I am guessing that things have only gotten worse since this time, but apparently over 200 people "confessed" to the Lindberg baby kidnapping. http://crime.about.com/od/issues/a/false.htm
  11. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 11:57 AM) better start printing up those new science textbooks That's what I was thinking. I'll bet Kansas will insist on versions with nine planets like God intended.

    QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 10:30 AM) yeah, $5.50 gets you a half chicken, a side, and a pita bread. In downtown Chicago that is a steal. Wow. He must be running some great volume through there to survive on $5.50 plates, or drinks are also $5.50??
  13. QUOTE(juddling @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 10:57 AM) ...and in other news today...it was announced that the ACLU has filed suit in federal court on Pluto's behalf to keep it's 'planet' status. In a statement issued today the ACLU stated that it can't believe that in this day and age that size still matters.
  14. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 10:03 AM) wait wait wait... There is a place called Chicken Planet? QUOTE(mreye @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 10:05 AM) It's taking Pluto's place.

  16. I always cheer for the Central, then the AL. So when the playoffs start, I'm confident there willbe central division teams to cheer for. Too bad we couldn't be leading the wildcard race instead of being so far out of it.

    I was in my third or fourth recert on CPR when the instructor mentioned a student that was distraught that he had performed CPR and the person "still died". After hearing that, the instructor made certain to remind everyone if the person is alive, there is no need for CPR. We do CPR when the heart has stopped, a pretty good indicator that the person is dead. Also, the odds were so small on bringing anyone back.

    Is it the loss of bodily functions that make it no fun, the understanding that the person is dead, or the stress of knowing you're the person's last chance?
  19. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 08:54 AM) Nah, just dog tired. Last night was a looooooong nite. raining cats and dogs . . .
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 08:58 AM) So did they change the planetary definition again? I wonder what the new one is? But in the 1990s, more powerful telescopes revealed numerous bodies similar to Pluto in the neighborhood. New observations also showed that Pluto's orbit was oblong, sending it soaring well above and beyond the main plane of the solar system where Earth and the other seven planets circle the sun. That prompted some galactic grumbling from astronomers who began openly attacking Pluto's planethood. This is going to crush their tourist industry In a related report, Jason's girlfriends applied the same logic and decided he has no penis.

    What the world needs now is love, sweet love It's the only thing that there's just too little of What the world needs now is love, sweet love, No not just for some but for everyone. Lord, we don't need another mountain, There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb There are oceans and rivers enough to cross, Enough to last till the end of time.
