They are two different things no doubt. And nothing can substitute for the feeling of being surrounded by loved ones who know you and despite that, still love you.

He played his heart out while here. A fan favorite. I know whenever I visited former employers, I never expected to here boos, I wonder why in sports it is so different? Vienna seems like a good call for the surgery. I know if I had the resources to go anywhere in the world, I wouldn't stop at surgeons in the US. The team would not have the choice on where he has surgery. This is America and people do have controls over their bodies. Since everyone agreed he could not play for the remainder of the contract, why would the Sox want any input? If it works great, they potentially would have been helping an opponent, if it fails, would he have grounds for suing since they recommended a guy who ended Maggs career? So many players have come through here that did not live up to expectations. We had Maggs when he was getting paid less than other players for the same stats. Remember Frank moving out of the #3 spot for Maggs? Far better than the guys we paid free agent dollars to and didn't live up to expectations. The Tigers are basically paying for all the RBIs, HRs, and average he hit with us. BTW, do the Sox have a player with a .300 average? With the White Sox payroll, we will have more guys like Maggs who become All-Stars here, while getting paid below market, and then getting their big dollars down the road. I'm not going to waste negative energy on them.

One trip through the NL and thanks for playing in the US, hope you had a nice time. We have a couple million parting gifts for you to take back home. His smile after his first save is a Sox highlight I will not forget. I'm glad he had a season with us as strong as that. I'm waiting to see who will carry on the E-Lo - Zero tradition of one season wonders.

Our best communities are almost ghost towns until Friday afternoon. We support three private country clubs. Have the largest grossing sales per square foot mall in the US. But most of this starts out as pesos before reaching the border.

The most pathetic personal appearance I've ever seen was about 15 years ago in some bar in Elmhurst. Bob, sitting at a table in full Gilligan gear and no one really giving a s***. The woman sitting two tables down was getting more attention. We went over and started talking Maynard, and he said he was contractually obligated to only be Gilligan. RIP, you gave many hours of entertainment my after school wouldn't have been the same.
