QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 08:44 AM) Ish! That really sucks Tex. I hope you feel better! And go to the doctor!!! I'm not a Doctor, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express this week . . . Just got back with my antibiotics, some burn cream, and various other drugs. I love the pharmacy laws south of the border. BTW, GOPerheads be very afraid. I saw thousands of Mexicans right across the Rio Grande from us. I stopped into an ice cream shop to get a drink and as I was sitting there choking down a few drops, I see a scale. Who in their right mind puts a scale in an ice cream shop and invites their customers to weigh themselves?

QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 08:01 AM) If Maggs was ready to play 1 day after his former team left town... what kept him from playing in that finale on Thursday... wow what a pussbag. Actually he wasn't suppose to play for a few more days, but he moved up his start. Good point.

I love it when John sends these little notes to me. I don't know where he finds the time. I hope he doesn't mind me passing them on.

In my lifetime I never had to think about this so I could be wrong but wasn't the system in the past that the home advantage would basically switch back and forth between the leagues? In that case, nothing has really changed. Nothing you do as a team ever won you home field advantage. It was either the luck of the year or now the winner in some game. Hell, flip a coin each year. YASNY brings up an excellent point, the advertsing is real and will keep the fans *worldwide* voting. It has got to be a huge money maker for MLB.

QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 06:20 AM) You think nightlighting as a wrestler would be embarrassing enough. Then you learn that he's 31 and has HIS MOM call him in sick. Put your junk in storage, man. LMAO when I read that. Hi this is 's mom. He cannot go to work today . . .

QUOTE(BobDylan @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 03:26 AM) It could be a hell of a lot better. I'm not impressed. Did you look at the whole list?

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 03:16 AM) I love this little list. It also amuses me how you have been posting it alot and people just pass it up. So much can go into that. Teams played, rotation, home/way, etc. Without a little more research it is, on the surface, very interesting, and for Frank's fans, something really cool.

I love it when they play their A sides.

Interesting, I had not known that. Score one for Clinton.

Mini-blog It's 3am, I woke up about 90 minutes ago, choking on phlegm. My sore throat is making it almost impossible to swallow. I hate being sick. I've been trying almost everything to feel better. If I read soothing on a package one more f***ing time, I'm going to find those low life, at least they found a job with their English major, advertising copy writers, and beat them. Nothing sooths when I cannot swallow. Herbal = Bulls***. I caught this up in Dallas, which confirms to me that I should never, ever, move up north. I even passed up a chance for a drink with a Soxtalk admin (and a possible get out of jail free card) to rest and hopefully not have this get worse. Note to self, never pass up alcohol. Isn't this nice, my sweet cat thinks that I need him in my lap while I type. Meow and announce your presence before jumping. Dark house, glow of the monitor, and some 20 pound animal jumps in my lap. Scared the s*** out of me. See, cats can fly. I haven't eaten "real food" in a couple days. At least one good thing will come of this. I tried spitting and it was like molasses. All stringy and hanging long. I felt like a damn idiot trying to get it to drop off. I tried googling Dentist sucky thingy hoping to have one delivered. I would love to go back to bed and hang that bad girl down my thoat and have it suction all night long.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) Damn I would LOVE to do this but being that I am having to read my ass off for school right now.... Think of it as a very long thread

If true, and I am reserving judgement until then, it is very sad.

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 07:33 PM) Frank's still getting back in the swing of things. He's a good type of guy to bat third, as opposed to Everett, or Konerko, or Dye for that matter. None of those guys generally get on base at a good clip and are more inconsistent. Rowand is solid, that's a decent option, although you'd like to see a little more power. I liked having Frank bat 4th or 5th when we had Lee and Maggs, but we obviously don't have those guys anymore. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ What he said.

Maybe he can work down that hit to $$$$ ratio.

They wanted to be home, not driving around the town calling his name.

QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 06:14 PM) I saw a story about this on CNN's 'Newsnight with Aaron Brown' last night. The guy is getting a lot of attention. And that is the key to fame and fortune in America

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 06:37 PM) If it is a non-crap book, then yes. But we have to pick a book with Spark Notes.... A Barnes and Noble exclusive You study Beowulf without a study guide I'm in. Fiction or non-fiction? Baseball to get started? Chicago related? The Jungle would be interesting. Or

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 08:35 PM) I thought about getting an Expedition but 2.25 a gallon gas made me think again. I've been considering a switch to a diesel, but dammn, that's expensive to buy and expensive to run. I do find myself jumping in my wife's pontiac every chance I get. $65 fill ups suck.

Anyone that has the resources to mount a major terror strike on the US can just get a tourist visa and walk in the front door. Why risk dying in the desert? Tourism in the US is a multi-billion dollar industry. But if it makes you feel safer catching some scared migrant worker trying to pick onions in Wyoming this fall, go for it.
