that as my question of YASNY. How was that number determined. It seems like an impossible act. If we are talking only of direct aid through the UN or some other central clearinghouse type thing, I could understand the number.
  5. Grudge baby, someone had it in for the old man . . .
  6. I think they should have a rotation of sidekicks. Dibbs outside the baseball season is kind of worthless. Perhaps rotate through three or four guys.
  7. I know this is serious, but all I can see is George running through the streets with the laser pointed on his shirt
  8. Teams don't control on-air talent??

Better off. We passed on Alomar, now the Cards are out of the bidding on the remaining talent.

When I first read that I thought you were having trouble with Brian To new members needing to catch up on the soap opera that is Soxtalk's SL&P. Queen Prawn aka Fanof14 (before and during the time #14 sucked) is engaged to Brain, who is in the printing industry. They are avid car buffs. Queen also believes NASCAR is a sport. Which brings up an interesting question that we may learn about in future episodes. Was Fanof14 actually a reference to one Mr. John Andretti who drives Fords for VB/APlus at Sunoco on the A.J. Foyt/ppc Racing team, which is ably crewchiefed by David Charpentier who is a White Sox fan??

I am wondering how that number is determined. I believe it must be through a central clearing house like the UN. How can they track private, direct donations, to the areas? It seems like there should be a rest if the statement like 40% of all UN disaster relief is paid for by the US.

I am willing to be that many of the corporations and individuals helping to foot the bill for the inauguration love fests are also leading donors to the private relief efforts. IMNSHO Inaugurations are important. I believe a big role of the President is that of master motivator. Reagan's greatest accomplishment was getting Americans to believe in themselves again. Leading up to RR was Nixon and the CREEP and all of their shenanigans. Then Ford and his WHIP campaign to Whip Inflation Now with buttons. Then Carter and us seemingly as a nation being held hostage by the Iranians. (At least in that day they weren't into beheading hostages) Then riding high on his horse was Reagan. Confident, almost aristocratic. American was energized. Clinton, in many of the same ways motivated America with his youthfulness, something we hadn't seen since Kennedy. So let's put on the western hats and boots and have a shindig in Washington and propel W into his second term.
  14. I love it when web masters get together. Let's wait and see if things die down. They're just junkies in need of a fix. Eventually they will find someone else to play with. Although I know you guys love nothing more than troll whacking. What I find interesting is we allow way more than the other leading brands of Sox Message Boards. Yet, that tiniest of areas that we do not allow seem to cause people to go nuts. Maybe it's easier of we had dozens of rules instead of a couple. And touching on Soxman for a moment and him taking over. Kap, we do have the server in Texas now, right? We should start a coup de tat.

I am not insulting an entire innocent group of people I do not know. I am expressing my opinion of the public persona you have created under the screen name Juggernaut. That persona is that of a pathetic human being. If that is how you act in public, than my observation and opinion also pertains to you as a person.
  16. Texsox replied to raff's topic in SLaM
First off Juggs, I support prayer in school. I also favor abstinence education along side reproduction education. I stoped thinking it was fun being mean in grade school. I guess some poeple don;t grow out of thinking hurting people is fun. Go for it Juggs. You must be a laugh a minute; Hey look at the retard! Hey look at the Mexican! Look I can say gay and mean stupid. Saying you use ethinic slurs because it is fun is the stupidist thing I have ever heard and makes you seem like the most pathetic form of the human race.

There was a memo a couple weeks back. Only North and South America and parts of Australia. They are working on Asia next. Basically only areas that are currently producing solid baseball players.

I jumped in because I was sensitive to it. As quickly as I read it. Next step?

Well said wino, I hoped we can keep this thread from turning onto raff . . . note: edited to clean up spelling . . .

It's about the ability to communicate in a manner that earns you respect and is respectful of the entire Soxtalk community. If the only means you have to communicate is offensive to others, isn't that sad? Some people can justify 100 different ways why they need to be offensive to communicate, they may fool themselves and their like-minded peer group but society isn't fooled for long.
  22. Damn Hammer, I thought you'd been here as long as I have. My bad. I'll nominate you for poster of the year in 2005
