Very nice. One size fits all I see. It did help my morning assembly dilema. I knew my daughter would want the trampoline assembled and my son all the new hardware for his PC. The snow kept me inside for a few hours until it melted. So thank you and let me offer the special south Texas snow salute :finger

  5. Trust me, at some point rumours don't excite you. When I see the player wearing a Sox cap at the press conference, then I start thinking about it.

Merry Christmas my friend. How have you been?
  9. I trace some of the fan base issues to TV in the 70's. The Sox were on a bad reception UHF station (44 for us history buffs), then they went to a pay per view service (Sports Vision??) all the while the Cubs were busy marketing WGN across the country. They played during the day and quite frankly some suburbanites don't like to drive into the city at night Corporate entertaining, when buyers and other executives could get away during the day was nice. Take a customer out to lunch and a ball game. There was also the threatened move to St. Petersburg if the Sox didn't get a very good stadium deal. Then Governor Thompson kept moving the hands on the clock back before midnight until a deal could be made. IMHO, the Sox would have died in Florida and the Cubs would have won a World Series by now with a $120,000,000 payroll. The Cell has always been a decent park to enjoy a ball game from the lower level. There have always been about 10,000 excellent seats. The upper deck was awkward at best. The food is awesome in both variety and quality. I have never had a problem getting to or from any event at the Cell or before that Cominsky. I have had a window vroken and stuff stolen at a Bulls game. Someone urinated on my shoe after a Cubs game, oops that was me And after all that, I would find any excuse to love the Yankees if I was from anywhere within 200 miles of the Bronx. At least heart break happens in October not June every year.

Yes, if ice forms around the fruit the inside will not get any colder than 31 degrees. If the fruit is "naked" it could get colder. They also light smudge pots in the orchards and try to keep things a little warmer. Amazingly, we are so close to live or die. 30 degrees is usually ok, 28 and everything is ruined. Sometimes the fruit near the trunk is ok and that on the outer edges is juice time.
  11. I had a lot of respect for the man. I heard him witness to a group of college athletes and man he was a powerful speaker. Rest in Peace,

ChiSoxFn, Southsider, et.al. are very quick to ban trolls. The record was 1 post, 3 views, and banned in under 5 minutes. Remember not all trolls are

I could only make it half way through Napoleon Dynamite and I had to turn it off. Mildly amusing in parts, but then it was just too painful . . . But I did make this
  15. Inquiring minds want to know? Is it electric or manual? Can you wear it unobtrusively in public, or is this for private use? Would you share it with a friend?

As I approached a major overpass I thought a truck had lost it's load, then I realized it was what they spread. They had no idea how much to spread. Fortunately the citrus crop wasn't hurt too bad. The snow acted as a blanket and kept the fruit from getting even colder. I lost some really cool cactus that I was growing. I am hoping they will come back in the spring. They are really pretty when they flower. Remember a few years back when the temps hit 105 in Chicago and people were literally dying? We shrug that off with hardly a whimper. 60 degrees is killer cold for us. Imagine 32. People are already refering to this as *the* snow storm. 3-5" and gone in less than 1/2 day. I wore shorts outside today.

On the major overpasses they put down about 2" of sand. It's a frickin' hazard now. LMAO, the winter Texans that we make fun now look like the best drivers. This snowfall was the most in South Texas in over 109 years of recorded weather history and the first white Christmas in forever. In a sad note, many lower cost homes in the Rio Grande Valley are built without heating and very little insulation. They are far more worried about the 9 months of 100 plus degree days. Many locations opened up warming centers but still there was much suffering in the colonias. Several homes caught on fire as people built fires to warm up.
  18. Bill's Pub Right on Diamond Lake. Excellent stuff as well.
  19. Pat's Pizza in Grayslake. 20+ Yearsb of awesome thin crust and double stuffed. Deep dish I gotta go with Lou Malnotti's sausage. Rosatti's has the best bacon pie around
  20. Stern has owned the team since 1975, WHY? What benefit is he receiving? Is it a gift to the community? Is he trying to earn a profit? Part of his retirement planning? Does he want to be an owner for the parade down State Street if the team wins something? The only thing that will move the Sox into #1 in the city is a World Series appearance. IMHO there are about the same number of hardcore, smart, baseball fans on both sides of the city. We are fighting for the casual fan's dollar. The people that go to a game for the atmosphere, the "I was there", basically the fans we criticize for going to Wrigley. Advertising will only help a little, special dates, favorable scheduling, etc. will also help a little bit. The only proven method, and it works in all sports, is winning. Investing in a star is nice, but winning is better. Spend it and they will come . . .
  21. Happy Birthday!
  22. I got to assemble a trampoline and enclosure, remove some links in a watch, install a video card in a computer, upgrade same computer to XP Pro, call, email, live chat, call Linksys trying to get the %^$ network working properly (3 days), watch son install Half Life 2, Doom, Counter Strike, iPod software, transfer songs from one computer to the other, eat a bunch of prime rib, the last red meat this fat boy will see for a while, mod out a computer case with new UV cabling, UV light, firewire card, pop open a Shiner Winter Ale and figure out now why the laptop isn't networking properly (fix for 2nd desktop %$&^$ laptop) , play with lazer mouse, listen to iPod, take blood pressure medicine, remember a work thing I forgot, drive out to a Boy Scout Camp and help set up one of my assistants and a few Scouts who will be camping this week, call linksys back and finally have the entire network working. Nikhil from somewhere far away finally found the problem.

I didn't get a chance earlier As some of the neighborhood kids were playing in the snow Christmas morning (it was gone by 1:00 PM, I warned them about eating "yellow snow". They didn't have a clue
  25. Texsox replied to kapkomet's topic in SLaM
LMAO, It is 2:00 am and the entire neighborhood is awake running in the snow and building snowmen. I wonder how to say "frostbite" in spanish.
