Danny Wright placed on the DL
Yes he has. He still has a way to go. I should back off the injury angle. Still losing 10% on the velocity of his fastball is a large drop.

Bummer. At least he's getting help for his problem unlike *cough, kough, koch, kough, cough*

Man who bid on eBay to play for Saints goes 0-4
I'm not knocking the team. At their age I think it's wonderfull they can still play. I like your team hats And I hear mamma can still pitch

Isn't that how you're playing on that softball team? And IIRC you paid for a 5-6 game and flawless defense THe last few charity auctions I've been to have include experience prizes, they are the latest thing.

Cause & Effect of Pedophiles
I think it is difficult to separate the chicken from the egg here.

Aaron Rowand
I agree with Steff. We have some experiments happening and I wouldn't be this quick to give up on him. It is a long season.

The Continuing Decline & Fall of Mark Buehrle
I just do not see E-Lo winning 21 games this season. Something in the 14-17 range seems more likely. I also see Mark winning 16-20, hence my prediction.

WMD & Iraqi Leader killed
fortunately we have billions of dollars in surplus to spend helping out our good friends in Iraq.

Using them all, Oz's Subs
It looks like Maggs, Lee, Kong, and Crede are going to be logging 150+ games. The 4-some of Harris, Valentin, Rowand, and Uribe will keep churning depending on who is "hot" and Olivo and Alomar seem like co-starters at this point in the season. Gload jumps in every once in a while, (doesn't deserve much more at this point), and I see Perez and his lefty bat falling further back if Harris starts playing some center. All in all I like how Ozzie is handling the bench. He seems to search for ways to improve without disrupting too much. We'll see how he handles NL ballparks later this season.

Those aren't commercials, those are the cars and drivers. I know it is hard to tell the difference.

WMD & Iraqi Leader killed
cnn.com has it as their lead. Must be because it potentially hurts Bush's chances. I have no idea why they ae not reporting instead on the happy news of Iraqi children going to school and utilities working.

Aaron Rowand
I like the ground he covers in center and seems to be developing some Cell instincts. However, I prefer seeing a batting order with Jose, Willie, and Juan. I see Rowand's future platooning more with Willie if Rowand's bat (.212 avg) doesn't come around.

That would be you

The Continuing Decline & Fall of Mark Buehrle
My opinion was Mark would have a better year and E-Lo worse and they would balance each other out. So far I think I'm close. But to not be concerned about Mark's last too seasons is crazy.

Gay marriage debate
I read an interesting essay by a gay woman who proposed that the government get out of all recognition of Church sponsored unions and only recognize a civil union. Interesting perspective.

The Continuing Decline & Fall of Mark Buehrle
I don't think anyone expected him to lose every game. I do not think his fans are expecting him to win every game. But let's see at the end of the season what happens to his stats. Of course then we can argue which stats matter. If his ERA is up, his fans wil claim it's W-Ls that matter If his Wins are down, his fans will point to ERA. But to debate this after every start is a Soxtalk tradition, carry on

Who is the best baseball announcer???
/hijacked thread Doesn't baseball allow for the best in announcing? The pacing, the drama, etc. is perfect both for TV and Radio. I do not think an anouncer can do as much with the NFL, NBA, or NHL. But baseball is a great canvas to work on. /back to thread
