The debate seems to revolve around how much "help" an athlete or particapant should receive from their equipment. A bat seems to be ok with everybody as is a hockey stick. Now tennis raquets and golf clubs are able to store energy via face deflection or by the tension in their strings and that seems to be ok. Bicycles offer gearing which helps the cyclist. Almost every sport invloves gear, except for barefoot Kenyan distance runners. I don't see a problem with the gear has power.

We can score plenty of runs, against righties and lefties so I wouldn't be as concerned as having our 5th starter combine for exactly ZERO wins, and IIRC ZERO quality starts. A split would be a split, and a very nice result. I really wish we didn't pound out 15 runs yesterday, it seems like it always takes a team 2 or 3 games to recover and score more than 2.
