THE Yankee announcers felt that if JM was still the manager, that Jon wouldn't have made it out of the 4th. I really liked the way he came back and pitched so well. The announcers mentioned a few times about his "California" cool. All in all, it was Cy Garner out there today. We all know that last year he could also be Judy Garnlans. Let's hope Judy stays home a lot more than last year.

I was very impressed watching today's game on the Yankee network. There analysis of the Sox was pretty damn good and when A-Rod was called out on strikes to end the inning, they came back and showed A. Why is was clearly a strike - and - B. Why it looks like a ball on tv, the dugout, and in the stands They also did their homework for *current* Sox info. I would say the announcing team was clearly the best I've listened to who were from the other team.

Think about life for the average Iraqi. Sadaam was the leader for almost their entire lives. They do not know any other way of life. They are much more likely to be a victim of violence today than before we came to liberate. Unemployment is up, life is very uncertain. I can understand why there is anger and resentment. And guess what? Some people do not want a US lifestyle. Amazing isn't it? But our attitude has been on more than one time in our history that we are going to give you US democracy if we have to kill everyone who is opposed to it. Still I think we should still vote Bush, he's funny

I believe it was our current agencies (CIA, FBI, Military, Immigration, Border Patrol) inability to work together to quickly and easily share data that caused the department to be formed. It isn't just Arab hatred we are fighting, although some in Homeland Security seem to have an extra zeal for that sort of work.

Just remember we have young men and women serving over there that deserve our support. IMHO that means keeping them as safe as possible while they are there. If that means pissing off a few more people, so be it. I also believe it means getting them out of that hell hole ASAP or sooner. One thing we can start is to make certain everyone who is there has the proper equipment, paid for by the US government, to keep them safe.

I like to backpack and Big Bend has so much diversity. A couple nights in the Chisos Mountains than maybe a night or two in the dessert always leaves me feeling better.

This is Iraqi money we froze. I don't think it should be used to plug budget holes. I do understand the rational for using it to rebuild the country. ut cut a little scratch loose for the guys who deserve it.

Especially to West Texas, where the women are beautiful and the living is hard. I head out to Big Bend at least once a year and the Davis Mountains for a week each summer. Awesome areas. Last year the laurel was in bloom after some hard rains. The most beautiful thing I've seen.
