It’s a tough call. I’d wait until after the mid terms
  2. Plus with Jerry getting another year older he’s only going to slow down defensively in right and damn he clogs the base paths. I hate it when he leads off an inning.

Mid term election ploy? Re-election ace in the hole?
  4. Less desirable doesn't necessarily have to do with the crime rate. Attending a sporting event is much different than buying a home. A huge parking lot, easy highway access, entertainment options, etc are what I look for. I wouldn't want to live near a stadium.
  5. Isn’t he in Japan?
  6. That moment when I realize I'm agreeing with G7. ?
  7. Did the Cubs win any before they turned Sianis away with his goat? Parkman could be our goat. ? But the Cubs were up in their series. This curse will be harder to quantify.
  8. But the real question is this: Will Parkman become the Sox billy goat? Will we have to endure the Curse of Jack?

Many government programs have put in so many regulations to "protect the taxpayers" from fraud that it makes the systems so complex that no one can complete the process. I remember being in a meeting years ago discussing the various childcare options for low income workers. By the end of the presentation I understood why some workers gave up and just stayed home collecting aid. A bunch of business and community leaders had a hard time following which programs were available and how a pay raise could move someone out of one program, but they could apply to a different program. I read a story by a college professor and how she kept meticulous notes over fifteen years and lost out when one of her servicers applied payments to one loan balance first then to the other instead of equally to both. She's working through an appeal.
  10. I think we need the Rally Crede.
  11. Yep. I thought developing the self control to stay away would have been a better growth opportunity for him. Either way you break up with someone, they move on, and rekindling the romance isn't always possible. Perhaps after the Sox win the World Series we can have a bring back a banned poster contest. He'd get my vote but sometimes the crowd picks Barabbas.
  12. Yes there are. And the asking price may have been a top starter.
  13. Does anyone really believe a team can just say they want a player and magically they will get him at a fair price? There is a team on the field that could win. Not the absolute best in baseball, but good enough to win a playoff game. Is it our players are not performing to their capabilities? Is it Houston is just better? Or is it the octogenarian owner? I’ll blame or give credit to the players.
  14. He was trying to fix his life and believed being here was a detriment. Multiple people asked him to reconsider but if you ask to be banned often enough . . .
  15. Good choice.
  16. But maybe not in this series
  17. There will be a game 5.
  18. I have a lot of Cards fans coworkers so I’m glad I have a golf tournament today. I don’t want to be around that stench of postseason loss.
  19. The odd number games are always critical. There isn’t a problem until you lose a home game.

I know many conservatives who are adamantly pro vaccination. All of the unvaccinated I know are conservative. I only include posters here I've met IRL.

Nuclear waste is the Hitler of this discussion. When we can mitigate danger to others we allow people to choose. You don't have to wear your glasses, unless you're going to drive on public roads. You can choose to get drunk, but you can't drive. You don't have to wear shoes or shirt, unless you want to enter a store. I'm all for allowing people to choose to not get vaccinated, but you shouldn't be allowed in a public building or workplace.

So was the Delta variant pre vaccination?
