  1. Fixed. I believe this season proved that everyone here is better than a hall of fame level manager, anyone in the front office, and especially everyone who owns a piece of the team. It’s incredibly easy to assemble all star level talent at every position, manager player health, in game strategy, we all know when to pull pitchers and when to leave them in. In fact it’s so easy I think baseball requires teams to screw it up simply to create fan interest. And that’s what makes this place so much fun.
  2. If this is true, what a joke. Let the players pick a manager? How about getting the fans involved? https://fansided.com/2021/10/13/tony-la-russa-white-sox-return-2022/
  3. I'm not going to allow others to piss on my happiness. It was a fun season especially with the next man up while constantly battling back from key injuries. Yeah humans made some mistakes, both on and off the field. If you want computer-like precision, run a simulator and cheer those results. Good people made decisions, and like everything else in life, some panned out, some failed.
  4. I was roasted during preseason for saying the Covid practice squad wasn’t enough. Ideally he would have been a mid season call up with fans bitching the whole time he already should have been up. I believe he’ll be a part of next year’s team advancing past the first round. While some guys are on the declining side of the curve, he’s on the improving side of the curve.
  5. Isn’t today a great opportunity to develop a new healthy habit? Suddenly we all have a couple hours a day free. Besides adding to the intellectual conversations here, what will you do to make 2022 better for you, your family, and the world?
  6. A couple players are on the up side of their careers, a couple on the downside. But the upside looks better.
  7. The team never seemed like they peaked. It was all start and stop.
  8. Exactly. He is not someone you can build a staff around. It's what makes guys like Buehrle so valuable.
  9. I think most would agree for one game, and at peak ability, he's got the best stuff on the staff. But needing 25 to 30 starts a few years in a row? Not happening. And he just keeps getting older.
  10. 90 They will be surprised later when it’s hitting 96
  11. Just log in here and boo. Lol
  12. Multiple players and Tony commented that starting with the 7th inning they couldn’t believe no one left.
  13. I'm liking Rodon tomorrow.
  14. JR came though with some timely hitting and five solid innings of relief. Pretty good for an 80 year old guy.
  15. I’m working today, but no students. Let’s get to the first pitch.
  16. We gotta score six or more. If Rodon gives us three innings with less than three runs on the board we have a shot.
  17. Great job by JR and Tony. Finally some timely hitting and steady pitching. We’ve needed that from their old asses.
  18. JR has the start throwing strikes. Tony needs to make the clutch hits. Fuck this franchise.
  19. One of my former players from Texas won a three round tournament today in Illinois going wire to wire. That can't possibly happen twice in two different sports.
  20. I would have prefered a day game today. Let's get to the first pitch.
  21. Of course it is biased but so too is desirable. And again, undesirable for a stadium and undesirable for living are too very different things. A stadium in Spring Grove would be undesirable for most Sox fans but plenty of people find it desirable to live there. I like suburban stadiums surrounded by parking lots. That’s my bias. You like city stadiums, that’s your bias. No one is trashing your neighborhood as a place to live but it seems like this hit a nerve.
