  1. It’s only not voter suppression because the republicans told you it’s not.
  2. The Masters is an interesting entity. The Masters is owned by Augusta National and sets their own rules. I believe they are the only tournament like that. The PGA tour could choose to make it a non official event. They could even schedule against it. But they can’t use the name and move it. And based on a few former and current tour players I know, they won’t boycott.

Thirteen years for me after pulling the cord. And also substantial pay cut. Worth every dollar. I'm glad it's working out. Hopefully you get a nice raise and it's a win win. Also, I noticed I didn't need to spend as much to be happy. I figured out later I was spending a lot of money trying to solve being stressed at my job.
  4. To directly answer your question, what is allowed is determined by the owner and interpreted constantly, continually, and quickly by the mod/admin team. We continually review decisions and discuss the overall tone of the board. We get some wrong, both in allowing some threads to go too long and shutting some down too early. But we also get a lot of them right.

    Did you say Sox tie?
  6. I am so bummed to hear that. Good luck.
  7. https://www.inquirer.com/phillies/philadelphia-phillies-scott-kingery-20210330.html Hmm, anyone in the Sox organization facing a similar start?
  8. Larussa being named Manager of the Year. I'm not being sarcastic. Taking the premise of the boldest prediction I believe could happen, that is it. To earn it he guides the team through a serious rough patch in early September and clinching the division.

SMy school has a tradition of wearing baseball jerseys of your favorite team on opening day. I've always had a golf tournament that day and can't participate. Growing up before night games I remember doing the fake sick thing with my mom to stay home from school to watch the game. Until 6th grade or so it was the National League game which was easily available on WGN Hey! Hey! In middle school I switched baseball teams, in high school political party, in college religious affiliation. It's all about growing up.
  10. If you have T Mobile today's the day to sign up for free MLB TV
  11. I was excited when SA was selected to host the women but with Covid it knocked all the fun out of it
  12. I can't express how underwhelmed I am by this move.
  13. Anyone been to a Drive Shack or Puttery? https://clubandresortbusiness.com/first-puttery-venue-nears-debut/
  14. Larry McMurtry. Author of Last Picture Show ( highly recommend) and Brokeback Mountain plus others. Born and died in the same small Texas town. Inbetween led a great life.
  15. A few billion people on the planet and he was never better than about the 20th best 2nd baseman. Lol. Isn't that insane? Based on the human population he was so amazingly great, yet retired feeling like he didn't really reach his potential.
  16. It won't happen to Vaughn. Let's all say it and light a candle.
  17. It’s not caused by cell towers? We did a show last night at an Air Force base. That’s how to enforce masks. You can’t get through the gate with wearing a mask. Everyone immediately put it on when not actively eating or drinking. As in take a drink, put on mask. Take off mask, sip drink, put on mask. Biggest audience we’ve had in years and the safest I felt.
  18. Aren't we like a family here? I hope you score soon.
  19. Walking around my school the largest groups back are athletes and freshman. Smallest group seniors. We are still offering choice but pushing to get kids back on campus. Our protocols are slipping fast as the student to staff ratio increases. Golf courses are putting rakes back out and we're allowing pulling pins. Our state playoffs begin next week and the Covid rules are being dropped and we're back to normal. I wish I received my vaccine two weeks ago instead of one week. Next week seems like maneuvering through land mines.

I think Matthew McConaughey is starting his run for governor tonight with his just keep living foundation and tonight’s fundraiser. He’s pulled in an A list of celebrities. Athletes, singers, actors, business leaders . . .
  22. They are the ones scheduling vaccines now. I think states could do a better job.
  23. It's all been downhill since they changed the height of the mound in 1968.
  24. When my optimism gets too high, which has been often, I'm reminded that the franchise has never reached the playoffs in back to back years. That's right in over 100 years never reached the playoffs in back to back years. The excitement will be seeing how they collapse. Injuries? Dysfunctional clubhouse? Other teams play out of their minds (Incredible Indians, Ridiculous Royals)? Strike?
  25. I laughed, then cried
