  1. I'm still going to support the team. The Sox have a product that I buy just like Amazon, USAA, my mortgage company, my brokerage house, Ford, Titleist, and all the other companies I buy from. I still watch reruns of Two and a Half Men and Kelsey Grammar stuff. That's my choice. I don't think there is a business out there of any size that hasn't had an employee with a DUI. It shouldn't matter who in the organization had the DUI. A line cook at Denny's is as dangerous driving drunk as a baseball executive. I'll let the courts determine the punishment. If convicted I hope the punishment is severe based on it being a second conviction. But I'm still watching and following the team. I'm also not going to drive away sponsors who may never come back. That is punishing innocent people in the organization who worked hard to sell those sponsors and who don't deserve to have their livelihood in jeopardy because TLR and JR made a bad decision.

or instead of using total runs for the season to determine the winner divide it up into 162 games and count who wins the most games.
  3. I'm not as convinced this hurts chances with free agents anymore than if they hired someone who had been suspended for cheating.
  4. Could you post a couple links to this?
  5. By the way, and I know it's a minor point, but he hasn't been found guilty. I can think of at least one other high profile celebrity who was charged with a DUI and it was determined later that he hadn't been drinking at all. I can think of a Lacrosse team that lost a chance at a national title because they were judged guilty because of arrests. I appreciate our legal process in America and the fundamental underpinning of innocent until proven guilty. That doesn't mean I don't believe he's guilty or excusing his actions in anyway. Just an appreciation of our legal system.
  6. Perhaps based on personal experience I don't criticize anyone for things they say while drunk. So I'm giving him a pass on the I'm a hall of fame guy. People say shit when they are drunk and I'm glad friends and folks around me have forgiven some crazy shit I've posted and said while drunk and belligerent. With that preface . . . I'm so excited that JR is so convinced Tony is the guy to lead this team to a championship he'd bring him in knowing this would come out. He's selling his soul to bring us, his most loyal fans, another World Series. I have a tear in my eye and an enjoy bottle of tequila next to be.
  7. On the bright side it doesn't seem like he'll have too many rules about partying for the young guys to follow. Alllllllrighty boys wait until we get to Detroit, there are some great clubs in Canada. And we're fucking off the rails in KC it's the bees knees. Cut and paste "I would like to thank the White Sox organization and especially the Chairman Jerry (who seems to be the only person wanting me) for having given me the opportunity to end my career with the best job in baseball, manager of this team. I was excited to be a part of great team and the certain success that will happen. However, it's clear that my pending legal issues, and pretend trip to rehab, would be a distraction to this team. Therefore I am announcing my resignation effective immediately." Hey guys is Turtles open at 9 am? End cut and paste
  8. See, he can still party. Sandy Alomar is still available.
  9. I haven't been in close contact with someone who tested positive. I'm praying he doesn't test positive but they are in the same house, so I'm expecting the worse.
  10. Keep going because the person I was near hasn't tested positive.
  11. Our school district protocol is keep coming to campus unless the other tests positive then I'm home for two weeks.
  12. And that's the problem. We can't remember how long. Probably 15 to 20 minutes over a couple hours.

Like firing people. I'm not certain there is anything I want him doing as a lame duck. In fact I really wish there was congressional oversight on some actions during this time.
  14. The son of a competing golf coach tested positive this evening. We were in close contact today. We both were outside and wearing masks but we handed trophies and medals back and forth. I'm a little freaked out. At times at other tournaments I've rolled up next to him and forgotten my mask for a few moments. Today I was walking and thankfully had on a mask the entire time. He was all choked up when he called to tell me and kept apologizing. I kept telling him to stop apologizing, we both followed all safety precautions. He's working from home the next couple weeks while worrying about every cough, sniffle, headache, or sore throat. Final worry my assistant coach was with us today. If he tests positive our season is suspended for two weeks.

I'd be willing to consider a single thread by topic. But I'd be considering it from a position of no, but willing to listen My biggest issue is the stuff spills over into all the other areas. Arguments about climate change cause the tone in a thread about the AL Central schedule to turn negative.

The Four Seasons Landscaping stuff is hilarious.

Not judging others people's beliefs, we're judging Greg775, a character that you created. There is a big difference. You've used that character to (in the most negative language used) troll this site, or in a more positive phrase, to challenge the vast majority of poster's opinions. You've always known when you are touching the boundaries and I have no doubt that you are aware that you are in spittin' distance of the electric fence.

Really I recall a case brought before the 2nd US Court of Appeals that sided against the President.

Twitter didn't, the Constitution and courts did. They also prevented him from blocking anyone. After he leaves office he can block anyone and really crank up the echos.

To everyone in Texas that had a Jesus 2020 sign next to their Trump sign -- God answered your prayer. God has a thing against hookers and hate.

Please Joe keep your promise. Respect all Americans. There are different paths to the same goal. Compromise. Be kind. Tell the truth. Make us proud. Kamala take the stage. Blaze the path but don't scorch the earth. Be our next President.

When I hear the calls for unity I realize what I thought four years ago about uniting behind Trump. I expect the same from his supporters and will not criticize anyone for lawful protests.
