QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 08:40 PM) That's the best kind of justice, and it's certainly the most dependable. hyperbole? sarcasm?

Exotic animals escape Ohio farm; owner found dead

Do we think he was a 1% er? -
As long as SS matches Balta letter by letter (in the alphabetical thread), SS will get their first.

OK, Ozzie is an idiot with nothing to say and we're never interested in what the other idiot Cowley has to say, that thread only has 283 posts and climbing. We could discuss Buehrle's contract status (70 posts), the farm system (65), Big Hurt beer (45), the next hitting coach (77), the 2012 Sox players (2) . . . So why is it we're drawn to Cowley/Oz like Alabamians to the corner of a NASCAR race?

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 09:21 PM) You're still a posting demon compared to those other guys. My average per day has dropped the past three years from 28 to 14. My biggest posting time was when Pa, Steff, SS2k5, YASNY, and I all had jobs where we could post during the day. hell we'd have 50 posts each before lunch. lol great times.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 09:22 PM) You interview both, look at their resumes and decide based on which is more qualified for the position. On second thought it's a poor analogy, plus many regular companies just promote from within when they have a good candidate in house.
-
Do you promote a worker to manager in a company or hire someone else's manager?
-
Yeah, Ozzie should take a clue from posters here and just stfu how many posts are in this thread?

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 08:48 PM) Those two sort of surprise me, as they don't post nearly as much anymore. Hell, even Chisoxfn sort of surprises me at this point. I'm surprised I am still up there. My past is probably 1/3rd of what it was. Plus I don't really post much in the summer months.

Exotic animals escape Ohio farm; owner found dead

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 01:28 PM) So...I must say...before this story, I had no idea that such thing as a "Privately owned zoo" could even exist in this country. And on top of that, we appear to have had a large, privately owned zoo where one guy could do an awful lot of damage. And a guy who has had "Animal cruelty issues" for years, with the animals living in "Filth" according to ABC. Seriously...why the Hell is any of this legal? It's protected in the Bill of Rights, Second Amendment, the right to bear arms. Big cats as pets. I was equally surprised it was legal. Even more upsetting, south of the border a major status symbol for the cartel leaders are these wild animal preserves. As mentioned earlier, it seems that it is also a way to getting rid of trouble. -

I hear what you are saying but these animals will not help the threatened ones in the wild. They were bred and lived as pets. It is a sad and terrible act and a waste of these lives. I was only saying that these are not from an endangered population. in fact just the opposite. The cost of buying a lion cub is only a couple thousand dollars. There is no shortage of ones for pets. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 20, 2011 -> 09:08 AM) This is a pretty obtuse way to look at it. Most of the animals are on the critically endangered list, just because a Zoo is producing more of them doesnt make them less endangered in the wild. Zoo's rarely breed them to release them back in to the wild And the ones in private zoos are almost always from the breeding programs, not captured in the wild. Which is why I felt the comparison was valid. They were not shooting from the population that is endangered, they were shooting animals where the most probable source is breeding programs. -
QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 06:44 PM) i would come out ahead big time under 999. but i don't have a bunch of kids and I am super rich. that low 9% income tax would way more than make up for the 9% sales tax. I'd be shopping a bit more in Mexico for big ticket items.

Just reading between the lines, it doesn't mention scouting baseball players it just mentions a hands on approach and taking a hit. I'm guessing he's looking for someone he can round the bases with.

Also, many of these animals are products of overly successful breeding programs. They aren't as endangered, at least the zoo produced as one may imagine. -
My son's XBox live account was compromised and 25 Gold FIFA packages were purchased. He doesn't own the game Doesn't spend $80 a month ever Microsoft has hundreds, perhaps thousands of complaints all the same. The dickheads still haven't refunded the money.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 04:05 PM) Quick cell phone charging question: My wife got a Samsung Galaxy S and I got the T-Mobile G2x. They both came with chargers that use mico-USB. However, one charger labels its output as "5.0V--0.7A" and the other is "4.8V--1.0A". Can I interchange the chargers for our phones without destroying a battery?? Officially no. Unofficially, probably.

Yeah, some people are stupid.

This was my lowest performing group, a special tutoring group. They correctly figured out the song was about someone losing someone. The stuff they didn't get was because of their age or needing some special knowledge. Thanks for the link. It must be considered a blog because the school's server is blocking me.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 09:30 AM) Kids are not cheap. You would think that even the dumbest excuse of a human would learn that after the first one or three. I thought I was clear, the sex is cheap, the kids are expensive.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 12:52 PM) I'm sorry, but I'm confused. Are these two separate stories? Yes, but for some reason every story I read about the current case also mentioned the previous. -
What I wrote was a journalist (notice it doesn't say a specific name, nor did the post I quoted) should not inject themselves into the story by challenging someone. They should attempt to verity what was said and interview other experts. It is impossible for a journalist to be more of an expert than the person they are usually interviewing. They should not be challenging, the should be questioning, verifying, and looking for confirmation. Also, I never said Cowley did any of this stuff.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 19, 2011 -> 10:27 AM) And no one anywhere has said that about any of the candidates who were passed over. No one has even remotely hinted at that. Everyone has focused on the fact that they were likely better prepared for the job. No one has suggested that a guy is owed a shot because of being passed over...they've suggested that they were owed a shot at least at an interview because they clearly appeared ready for the position. Again, not even what I said or replied to.
