Two guys are golfing, one guy plays it down, follows all the rules and scores a 5. The second guy uses a non conforming club, bumps the ball in the rough, marks his ball on the green then repalces it closer to the hole, and announces a 4. He calls himself the greatest player of his era because cheating is OK. Yeah, sure. And my last traffic ticket was in 1978 for illegal lane usage. I moved onto the shoulder to make a right turn on red. And I wonder, if he's the greatest player, why he cheated? If he was already the best player, was cheating necessary? Or did he have to cheat to be the best player?

Such as bad economic news, increases in deaths in Iraq or Afghanistan, Presidential approval ratings dropping, etc. The people that point to stuff like a rising unemployment rate, bankruptcies, etc with almost glee that I don't get. If President George William W. Obama's approval rate falls, it generally is because something bad is happening in the country. Yet many cheer, and it goes beyond the lunatic fringe. And please, I am not speaking specific to anyone in this thread, just pointing out something that has bothered me for more than just the last two Presidents. The blind eye towards one party and the apologistic attitude towards the other is not, IMHO, what the 1st Amendment was meant to protect.
