QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 22, 2009 -> 03:30 PM) lol... no actually but at least my wife doesn't whine incessantly about how I don't spend any time with her.
  7. I hope some of you are up on this from Adult Swim
  8. QUOTE (Felix @ Nov 22, 2009 -> 01:22 PM) Woo, the Kinks! Nice to see them get into the top 20 Another band I started to add, then dropped because I figured I'd be the only one to have them on my list. If the Moody Blues are on here later, or a few Southern Rock bands I thought of and dropped, I will be kicking myself even harder. And damn, did I forget ELO?
  9. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 21, 2009 -> 04:02 PM) you do know Otis Day was a fictional character, right? but I saw him at Snugfest at Lake Beverly
  10. Decent show, but Clutch Cargo was by the far weirder
  11. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 22, 2009 -> 08:59 AM) "refreshingly under-rehearsed," lots of acts on South Padre use that technique

  14. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Nov 21, 2009 -> 12:48 PM) Elvis?? What is this, 1956??? I'm wondering now if Chuck Berry is gonna make the list. And the Drifters...and the Platters....and the Coasters....Dion and the Belmonts... I'm just kidding. I didn't vote for him but I think it's kinda cool that the King made the list. Now if James Brown the other king makes it we're all set. Righteous Brothers . . . Otis Day . . . Buckinghams . . . Otis Redding . . .
  15. Does anyone have a friend they would change jobs to work with? Anyone they would take their second, third, or fourth place job pick for? Any friend so great they would take a pay cut to work with? How about working with someone because they are also white, Asian, black, etc.? I just never get the "lets get an albino so more albinos will work for us" thinking. When has that ever really happened?

QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 21, 2009 -> 10:13 AM) I would just say to everyone graduating and looking to start their careers, the key is to remain flexible in your career choices. You never know where your career will take you, so just remain as open minded as possible. It has to fit your personality and be the path you are comfortable with. Jumping around and doing a few different things resulted in my not getting further than if I concentrated in one area or industry, but I enjoyed dabbling in a bunch of different areas. I've worked in the US and Mexico, made trips all over the US, taught surfing and sailing, and a few more jobs in between. Seems I get bored in about three years and need to move on . . .
  21. Ah, I've been there, done that Damn, there was a cheaper option?!
