QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Nov 21, 2009 -> 12:48 PM) Elvis?? What is this, 1956??? I'm wondering now if Chuck Berry is gonna make the list. And the Drifters...and the Platters....and the Coasters....Dion and the Belmonts... I'm just kidding. I didn't vote for him but I think it's kinda cool that the King made the list. Now if James Brown the other king makes it we're all set. Righteous Brothers . . . Otis Day . . . Buckinghams . . . Otis Redding . . .

Hideki Matsui
Does anyone have a friend they would change jobs to work with? Anyone they would take their second, third, or fourth place job pick for? Any friend so great they would take a pay cut to work with? How about working with someone because they are also white, Asian, black, etc.? I just never get the "lets get an albino so more albinos will work for us" thinking. When has that ever really happened?

I play a mean CD player. Way back when in grade school I tried the coronet for about three months, committed malpractice, and put it away.

Post-grad Plans
QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 21, 2009 -> 10:13 AM) I would just say to everyone graduating and looking to start their careers, the key is to remain flexible in your career choices. You never know where your career will take you, so just remain as open minded as possible. It has to fit your personality and be the path you are comfortable with. Jumping around and doing a few different things resulted in my not getting further than if I concentrated in one area or industry, but I enjoyed dabbling in a bunch of different areas. I've worked in the US and Mexico, made trips all over the US, taught surfing and sailing, and a few more jobs in between. Seems I get bored in about three years and need to move on . . .

QUOTE (Tex @ Aug 12, 2009 -> 08:29 AM) The idea is simple, each sentence added to the discussion must begin with the next letter of the alphabet and be seven words or less. It must also "make sense" or at least as much sense as other threads here. Almost every game we start is fun. Quite the prognosticator back then. Was that really three months ago

QUOTE (Cali @ Nov 19, 2009 -> 07:23 PM) I dont get the Green Day hate. They were the first band I ever got in to. Yeah they stumbled a bit to try and find a way to top Dookie, but that led them to completely re-invent themselves 10 years later and release one of the best albums of the decade and one of the most important albums to me personally in American Idiot. They are also such an amazing live band, so f***ing tight musically. People fear change and experimentation from your favorite band is like a curse word, but I love it, and I will follow most bands no matter what the sound is. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 20, 2009 -> 04:32 AM) Yeah, I agree. Dookie was an absolutely amazing album, whether you like the band or not. And they did stumble a bit for a while, but I think they have legitimized themselves by reinventing themselves so successfully. Honestly, for a 3 man punk band, if they weren't pretty damn brilliant, would they still be relevant? I don't think so... This list is something unpredictable, but in the end it is right. For what it's worth, it was worth all the time.
