That was like Schoolhouse Rocks. Awesome. My Monday lesson will be grievances and how they were addressed with the Bill of Rights and/or Constitutional Principles, then George Washington, any thoughts?

White Sox Interested In Coco Crisp
QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Nov 25, 2009 -> 09:00 AM) I support good posts all the time. Lighten up. We will. Calling out other posts with 48 posts to your credit ain't cool. Being proven right calls em out more effectively and makes for better reading. And for a little help . . . This post has been edited by the Soxtalk staff to remove objectionable material. Soxtalk encourages a free discussion between its members, but does not allow personal attacks, threats, graphic sexual material, nudity, or any other materials judged offensive by the Administrators and Moderators. Thank you. /matter dropped as far as I am concerned.

White Sox Interested In Coco Crisp
QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Nov 25, 2009 -> 08:43 AM) Whatever baseball credibility you had is now gone. And with your posts, so far, you never had any, and insist on digging deeper. Try gaining some credibility before knocking others. Coco or Pods? Pick one, it really will not matter. When the one that is here falters, and either one will, the board will cry for the other. Generally speaking, and all things being about equal, I prefer the player *not* coming off surgery. This may be one of the decisions that will, and probably should, be financial. OMG did I say that? Y'all are rubbing off on me.

kicking an entire town, lol- Harold Baines Hall worthy?
Sad really, a few years using steroids and Baines would have been much closer to making it. The stats folks would be happy.- Alphabetical Conversation Thread
I am off today!- Harold Baines Hall worthy?
If the Hall is just interested in stats and only stats, than probably not. Although he did accumulate a nice level of stats. I believe the Hall should be interested in the overall impact the person had on the sport. I believe the worse moments in baseball resulted from a lack of character and respect for the game. (From Black Sox to steroids) Harold's character and professionalism place him head and shoulders above 99% of the players already enshrined. Making baseball a better institution as a professional and as a human should count. We talk about intangibles and Baines has HoF intangibles. If all you are interested in is having a Hall of Stats, then no. If you want a Hall of Fame, than hell yes. Having players in the hall that pissed on the sport seems as wrong as leaving out Baines.- Is Frank Thomas HOF Worthy?
QUOTE (ptatc @ Nov 24, 2009 -> 04:36 PM) One of the very few hitters that you would stop what you were doing just to watch every at bat. If you have to ask the question, you didn't see him hit. Bars would go quiet.- Alphabetical Conversation Thread

zero, well almost zero chance, I know why the above happens- The Procedural Filibuster
QUOTE (kapkomet @ Nov 24, 2009 -> 08:02 PM) By the way, I've not once said that I'm for the filibuster rules as they are. I'm just saying that everyone wants to play like their side is better, and they're not. I agree with what I believe Kap means. "Everyone" is in this case seems to be just about everyone. I have seen too many people that seemingly have wanted the country to fail, to prove that the other guy sucked. And it flipped about a year ago from Dems to GOPs.- Alphabetical Conversation Thread
