QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 10, 2011 -> 09:01 PM) I had a card since 1993... and I missed a payment for the first time in 17 years last month because I honestly straight up forgot to pay it. I got raped. What a f***ing load of s***. So, my point here is when you play with snakes, sometimes they bite. Be really careful. I have autopay for that reason, in case I forgot to pay. It's a nice little backup plan.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 10, 2011 -> 03:45 PM) Exactly. It's the succession of bad moves that inspires the KW ire. Baseball is a game of recovery, the speed in which a hitter, pitcher, team, GM, etc. can recover from a mistake will be a main factor on how good the individual or team will be.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:49 AM) For the 14th I'm pretty sure it's section 118, row 7, seat 5 or 6. The tickets are being mailed to me. I gotta check my email or whatever. But if you can go we can meet up before the game or some s***. Right now that works for me, Ill hit you up with a PM as the date gets closer to confirm and make plans on where to meet (Bacardi at the Park or something like that would be cool with me).
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ May 10, 2011 -> 02:45 PM) considering that the music industry is not approving of google music or amazon cloud music is the biggest obstacle for cars implementing that. Hopefully spotify gets the legalities done soon and becomes partners with google/amazon/apple music. That's another thing I don't get, if someone downloads an album, or buys the CD, don't they have legal rights to listen to that music for free from and source they may have? Whether it's a computer, mp3 player, cd player, whatever, they should be able to play that for free after purchasing it. Im not sure on the details but I believe a coworker was saying the music industry is or is trying to charge an extra fee for those hosting music on a cloud client.
  5. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 10, 2011 -> 02:38 PM) If Pandora could be an embedded ap within a car stereo system, I honestly wouldnt listen to my ipod or much radio at all. I think thats the next phase of car entertainment since we already have internet in our cars. They are going to have an android-like operating system and you will be able to download apps. Would that be an extension of the data plan from a person's phone/tablet, or would one have another additional internet fee to pay do you think?
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 10, 2011 -> 02:35 PM) Yes, but currently the quality blows. Its almost tape-like. My jeep came with two usb connectors but for some reason the only music player it can work with is an ipod. Of course the better option is to take a usb thumb drive and load music onto the hard drive. You would think that especially with the development of the Amazon Cloud Music and Google Music that car manufacturers will be all over making sure that it's a feature in new cars.
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 4, 2011 -> 10:32 PM) He's gone dude. I heard they already sent feelers out for his replacement. Wow, Im still shocked by this. How stupid do you have to be, I mean, Tressel you were the class of the Big Ten by far. Now, you're going to be tainted and be out of a job, and will only give UM fans something to talk about besides their own major character problems.
  8. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 7, 2011 -> 02:24 PM) I hate racial profiling, but I gotta admit, when I am someone in public and see a Muslim dressed in their traditional garb, I get that uneasy feeling. And I am in no way a racist or anything. In fact, one of my good friends in Muslim. I forgot who it was, but a pretty famous diversity advocate once told a story about how he was boarding a plane and saw that it was a black pilot, and immediately thought that he wasn't as safe with him as the pilot. But then he was thinking of how he came to that reaction, and it was most likely from a childhood upbringing social standard to judge someone of another color as inferior at their job. But it is up to you to either accept that or think differently. Being uneasy around someone in traditional Muslim garb has been a standard in the news and other outlets for pretty much my whole life, so it's understandable to be uneasy at first, but is that what you truly believe to be fair?
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 10, 2011 -> 02:01 PM) Yup. Some vendors walk around with Bud/Bud Light, some walk around with Old Style/Old Style Light. Very nice, pretty much the same as when I was a kid then.
  10. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 10, 2011 -> 02:01 PM) Apple would sue them into non-existence unless they pay a hefty licensing fee. For accessories? All your doing is making a product that enhances another one, I don't believe you need license rights for that (Im no expert though).
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 10, 2011 -> 01:58 PM) Those are both pretty common. I travel frequently for work and most new cars have those options. Even for music from your phone (for bluetooth)?
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 10, 2011 -> 01:55 PM) Its all FAIL because you still have to go to a Cubs game to get this deal. I would go with friends, or for free like my employer is doing for all the interns later in the summer. Ive been to more Cubs games than Sox games, but that's because Ill have friends with season tickets wondering if I wanted to go since they had extra seats. It's still baseball and there is still another team to root for.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 10, 2011 -> 01:34 PM) There has to be someone who can do it. The apple connector somehow translates into a usb connection so there has to be some standardization in there somewhere. I envision a connector on amazon for $1 that could snap onto an existing iphone or ipod connector and the output would be the new standard docking connector on android devices. If someone could figure it out it would be big bucks. Over 70 percent of new cars have this connector built in already, imagine that marketplace. Wouldn't it be pretty cheap for cars to put in a USB connector too? Or just bluetooth connectivity to music files? But yea, you would think somebody would come out with some type of cheap connector for Ipod accessories.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 10, 2011 -> 01:31 PM) Could you imagine the complaining if KW had ever done a deal that bad? I can be harsh on KW, but any sane fan will realize that a GM will make a bad move once in a while, it's baseball and it happens. The best GMs make other moves (draft, trades, FA, international signings, etc) that pretty much cover up those bad moves.
  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 10, 2011 -> 12:49 PM) Coors beats all and thats pretty much all i drink at Sox games. Do they still serve Old Style at Cubs games? That would be my preference, though I haven't had Old Style Light.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 10, 2011 -> 01:01 PM) "In MLB". Well, Bradley most likely won't be in the "MLB" for long too.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:37 AM) Sounds good. You plan on going to any games in August? I shelled out quite a bit of coin for that month. I'll be there on August 2nd vs the Yankees (my birthday), August 14th vs the Royals and August 31st vs the Twins. KW can't blame me when he eventually starts b****ing about attendance. The 14th may work for me, after the internship but before school starting again. What type of seats did you spring for?
  18. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:33 AM) Does that include tickets? That would be a steal then. Yea, Upper Reserved, so the cheapest ticket but still. For group prices it's $13 for the ticket ($4 off), or they have a combo and sale price on the Patio and Tickets so it's $10 off the Patio ticket, and $5 an Upper level ticket (or $10 off a Lower level ticket).
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:26 AM) $3? I'm straight with that. I was at the Sox game the other day and I bought 3 beers for like $21. Im trying hard to convince my friends that we should do the patio and ticket deal for $44 each for our group of over 20 people, unlimited drinks and food for 2 hours makes it easy to max out that deal.
  20. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:23 AM) To still get ripped off on booze? $3 at a stadium is pretty much a steal comparatively.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:24 AM) Too bad Bud products suck. 100% agreed, but atleast you don't feel as bad drinking a bad beer for $7 or whatever the price is up to now.
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 10, 2011 -> 11:02 AM) During all Tuesday home games, starting May 10 vs. the St. Louis Cardinals, fans 21 years of age and older can purchase Bud Light or Budweiser products at specific concession stands in the Bud Light Bleachers for $3. I wish the Sox would do things like this.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 10, 2011 -> 09:10 AM) If there's any guy in MLB who's burned their bridge to everyone... Elijah Dukes?
  24. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 6, 2011 -> 02:39 PM) He's familiar with Bird Law. He could got tit for tat and make himself perfectly redundant.
  25. QUOTE (oldsox @ May 10, 2011 -> 09:42 AM) We can get one of those for 2012 if Kenny doesn't give it away (again). If you're hinting at KW signing a Type A FA and losing the first round draft pick, any team that finishes in the bottom 15 has their first round pick protected, and the team would lose their 2nd round pick.
