  1. I use Options House, very pleased with them. I have $3 trades, though I think new customers get locked into their new $4 rate.

Mazda's havent had the greatest reliability and their interiors can be really far behind other brands, which is too bad because their performance and exterior looks can be awesome. Q, I'd also check out the Elantra (didn't have enough oompf for me but they sell like crazy because they are well designed), the new 2014 Kia Forte looks great as well. The Nissan Sentra intrigues me as well with some real nice interior design.
  4. Walked 18 holes today on a mostly par 3 golf course in Evanston (about 4-5 holes were Par 4). I absolutely sucked on the front 9, I just wasn't getting solid hits at all. The back 9 however I par'd 4 holes (2 of them par 4s). Felt good to finish the day strong on a really narrow golf course (which does not suit me well).

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 2, 2013 -> 12:28 PM) Yup. There are some application's that are frustrating as hell. Anywho, I got a 2nd interview on Monday for a job that I've wanted for a couple of years now. Only thing is that it'd require me to move to Milwaukee but at the moment it's pretty much the perfect job for me. Hopefully I don't f*** it up! You would love Milwaukee, I've been there about 6-7 times to visit friends that now work there and that city is an absolute blast. Also, they somehow have a lot of attractive young females, it doesn't make sense to me but it's awesome.

QUOTE (SnB @ Aug 1, 2013 -> 12:52 PM) Ew. That place smells like a stereotypical grandma's house. (lots of old timer regular there) No thanks. Maybe it's because I grew up going there, but I've never had an issue with the interior. It's very old school in there.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Aug 1, 2013 -> 01:32 PM) Out in my neck of the woods, huh? And none of you mentioned Gene & Jude's yet? I'm disappointed. Eh I wasn't a big fan, I hate that they don't have ketchup for fries (which is a must for me personally). The hot dogs were very good, but their tamales sucked.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 03:37 PM) Russell's is so good. So, so good. When we moved to Michigan from Oak Park, we made sure to buy a box of bottles of their sauce.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 02:58 PM) My wife just told me about that, said its legendary. I was shocked I was never told about it before since I am a BBQ fiend. There is a new place opened on Taylor st called County BBQ, its AWESOME. Beware, its not like bbq you see today. Its different, but delish in its own way. Get 2 bbq beef sandwiches and load up on the sauce.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 02:13 PM) I'm a huge Mickey's fan too. I'm also a devout Alpine customer. I only went to Mickey's a few times in the years before we moved, but I remember their ribs were pretty damn good. And yea, Alpine is the s***. Also, not to far from you is Russell's BBQ, delish bbq beef sandwiches.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 02:20 PM) The assumption though is that some team is willing to offer "Good" prospects for Rios if the sox chip in money. There are signs that assumption is not true. Yea there is, and it would be highly disappointing if that's not the case.
  12. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 02:09 PM) Well not including money in the Peavy deal allows for offseason spending too. Cant completely simplify what happened yesterday into some immediate-consequence narrative The FA class is really week, and the top guys are going to get PAID. I don't see the Sox going after any of those guys (maybe McCann since Flowers busted so bad) but I really believe the Sox are eyeing a rebuild. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 02:10 PM) I'd bet he's just going off the fact that we didn't eat any money in the Peavy deal. I don't believe anything any chicago reporter says about our future direction. Very well could be his thinking, which is why I said if true. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 02:10 PM) If you don't eat money, you get the pitching prospects like you got for Peavy. If you do eat $5 million or so you get the equivalent of Simon Castro. I don't blame them for not eating money. If you eat enough, you should get someone better than Castro.
  13. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 12:55 PM) Did you atleast get it in? Just the tip?
  14. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 02:06 PM) Doug Padilla ‏@ESPNChiSox 25s A hour left until the deadline. Moving Rios would free up another $18 million. The White Sox have established they won't eat salary. https://twitter.com/ESPNChiSox I thought the whole point of not including money in the Peavy deal was to allow flexibility in our Rios/Ramirez trade possibilities. This just pisses me off if it's actually true. What do they think is more expensive, eating a couple million now or preventing our ability to get better prospects and thus delaying our ability to compete even longer.

Yea OP has some very different architecture/layouts throughout. So this place is a bit farther away, but it's one of the best gyro places in Chicago: http://www.yelp.com/biz/petes-red-hots-oak-park

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 08:51 AM) Right down the street from Holmes school on Woodbine between chicago and augusta. Oh fancy, on the North side
  17. This is crazy, this was the big return Hahn was asking for? I can't even imagine what the low ball offers were...
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 09:55 PM) So now Sox are getting Iglesias? The fakeouts keep on rolling out, Hahn is still posturing/pooping.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 09:22 PM) Not even kidding I had to take my listing down because it was starting to be a bidding war and we havent even close on our house in OP yet. A colleague of mine is tempted to post incredibly high rent prices for his condo just to see what he can max out at. Where are you buying in OP? I lived at Jackson and Wesley back in the day (right near Fox Park).

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 09:13 PM) Damn dude. You live like a few blocks from me. I'm at Damen and Rogers. LMAO Haha small world man.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 09:12 PM) If you trade for Iglesias, you better have a deal in mind to get rid of Alexei tomorrow. Man Iglesias has some sorry ass numbers in the minors, I really doubt he can hit enough to stay in the minors (obviously this year he's done pretty well).

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 09:06 PM) It's a relatively small 2BR, like 800 Sq. ft but it's not in the greatest area of Rogers Park. I haven't had any problems though. Yea I'm in a smaller 2br as well, probably 850-900sqft, but its in a great area (Damen and Greenleaf). Super quiet over here, just a bit far from the L though.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 09:03 PM) I live in Rogers Park too. I pay $900 for a 2BR condo. Damn that's cheap, the only ones I could find that were that cheap weren't rehabbed and were in bad shape.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 30, 2013 -> 12:42 PM) I agree its insane. I just bought a house in Oak park so I was initially thinking of selling and moving but i can get double in rent of what my mortgage payment is. Awesome Rock! I grew up there, definitely a good place to raise a family. One benefit to living in Rogers Park is the insanely cheap rent, our 2br got 'raised' to $1185 a month (from 1150). Most of my friends in River North-ish area pay close to that per person.
  25. Isn't Konerko only making like $6ish million this year, and then we have 6 years of $1 million bonuses to pay him? We would obviously have to cover all of those bonuses I'm sure.
