  1. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 05:35 PM) Wanna buy mine? OMG ASLKDJFUREOIASJDFLK;QUJEWIOMNRLKASHNKLVZXUCJOIFJQ24 HOW MUCH WHERE DO I SIGN?!?!?! LOL, ok so I am not that into it...but man, TMNT were the s*** back in the day. I almost want to go play with them now On a completely unrelated note, yet somehow worthy, I think we need a smiley of someone just flipping out...for this particular reason.
  2. QUOTE(SuperSteve @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 01:09 PM) I agree. I'd say we did face their two best hitters. ^^^ Was just going to mention how Ichiro went 6-for-11 in the series
  3. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 04:44 PM) I like the Bears, since I am from Chicago.. THEREFOR yes, I would have been happy with either one of those picks.. You mean therefore
  4. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) Excellent post. Although I think Benson will be a very good back for Chicago, they could have gone either way (Benson or Williams) and it wouldnt have bothered me.. Of course it wouldn't have bothered you. Miami had already selected the best back in the draft and had no shot at either Benson or Williams
  5. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) I would agree. If the Sox SP is still amongst the best in the league then I see the team going after a bonified closer. Especially if one doesn't emerge from Shingo, Marte, & Hermy, or Viz. I'm sure Mesa will be available amongst others. I wouldn't be surprised if Dye isn't part of the deal. So far he hasn't factored much in the winning. If you're willing to throw in a little cash he becomes very attractive to teams struggling for hitters. Please tell me you did not just use bonafide closer and Jose Mesa in the same post. His career ERA in the playoffs of 4.41 does not help matters. Now, if we're talking Billy Wagner, then that is a different story.
  6. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 08:19 AM) OKay with this ass-clown, here we go.. 1. We had Harry Carry.. WE had him in the good years, not the if you spell grace backwards it says ECARG..Hawk might not be the greatest, but its better than 95% of the other announcers out there. If you don't belive me, order the Direct TV baseball package and sit back and listen. 2. THe Cubs Fans are stupid, plain and simple.. What other team ticket scalps its fans to make money, and then doesn't put that money into their team.. The Cubs could have the same payroll as the Yankees, yet they don't need to their fans are to stupid not to support a losing cause. Case and Point this year Cubs payroll is about 10mil more than us, yet they sold out everygame have a huge TV deal and rip of their own fans...something doesn't add up 3. I read from someone else, How is it that the BlackHawks are not on that list, or what about the Expos/Nationals..They have had one sellout.. This list is a joke, using your "power" to show your biased opnion. Well said
  7. Alex, why did you not just say Cubs suck? Then everyone would be like 'OMG HE IS RIGHT, ROCK ON, KEEP PREACHIN' ' etc Just sayin
  8. I like how he mentioned how the Cubs had Harry Caray...kind of said it like we never had him. Whoops The entire article is absolutely ridiculous. There is absolutely no such thing as a bad team to root for. You root for who you want to. (but if there is such a thing as a bad team to root for, it is a team like the Yankees or Red Sox...isn't that kind of like cheating as far as rooting for a fan is concerned? the cheap way out? i don't want to see a team struggle through rebuilding and seeing young players come up and make some noise, i want to see a team just win...personally, cheering for a team like that seems like a bad idea, but maybe that's just me and not always wanting to do what is popular)
  9. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 08:42 PM) All those guys are projects. Give me a break. Who knows when he will contribute? Neither you or I know that. I would never project something like that. Who knows? If you are going to use the thought process of thinking that all those players are projects, then hell, Alex Smith is a project, Ronnie Brown is a project, Braylon Edwards is a project, because you do not know if they will pan out and play well. Apparently your definition of project and mine are different. When I think of a project player, I think of a very talented player who has the tools to be a first round pick and can be an elite player in the league(Mark Bradley, Matt Jones, Chris Henry, Adrian McPherson, Frank Gore...that type), but something is holding him back - be it past injuries, attitude problems, or just him having raw talent - and he will have to be worked in slowly.
  10. QUOTE(C_LEE45 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 04:20 PM) well maybe since we started out hot KW will open the pocket book!!!!!! Probably not, since he is probably making as much as Ben Davis, if not less.
  11. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 05:45 PM) :headshake Joe is batting .162 in AAA, has 27 K's in 68 ABS. As bad as Dye is right now, I think Borch can stay at AAA. LOL As bad as it is that Borchard is hitting that bad, I can't help but laugh. You don't think he can be any worse, yet he does that?
  12. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) of course you think hes a stud because you picked him, if my team picked timmy chang id think hes freaking amazing even though when it comes down to it he sucks Which is why I was so happy with the Bills draft :rolly
  13. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 12:31 AM) I'm sorry, I can't. Two errors in one week in key situations is bad. If Timo did that, I have a feeling it would be okay to bash him. But since most people here are biased in Willie's favor, it's not okay to rip him. No
  14. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) My point is that I would rather have Timo's clutch bat off the bench than Willie's clutch defense off the bench. At the same price?
  15. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 12:10 AM) Does Willie's defense at 2nd base and shortstop the past few games count in your favor or mine? Willie's arm is not so good, and that is shown at SS. However, time has proven that his range at 2B is much better then average...in fact, among the league's best. So you lose.
  16. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 11:58 PM) Willie can barely play 2nd base ?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿
  17. Can't win them all, weren't going to go 158-4, aren't going to go 157-5, aren't going to go 110-52, probably aren't going to go 100-62...let's hope we battle back and win a few more. Let's hope FG can be cash money and can put up a solid 7 innings for us while the offense puts up a few runs. Prease?
  18. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 01:20 AM) Their draft wasn't QUITE that good. You're probably thinking of the 1974 draft when they selected 4 HOF: John Stallworth, Lynn Swann, Mike Webster, and Jack Lambert. They selected Terry Bradshaw and Mel Blount in 1970. They also took Joe Greene in 1969, Jack Ham in 1971, and Franco Harris in 1972. Now THAT is some drafting. That would be the one Mucho Gracias
  19. QUOTE(backman @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 05:35 AM) Apparently he got enough ...to prove he would be a bad NFL QB?
  20. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 04:54 PM) If QBs Harrington, Ramsey, Boller, Grossman, Manning, Rivers, Roethilisberger, Losman, and Smith fail, then where does this put your argument? There is no chance all of them fail, and I say that knowing that most have not proven themselves. No chance. The fact that Roethlisberger has only lost 1 game as a starter only helps that
  21. QUOTE(Yoda @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) We may very well have a 19-0 record and we would get no recognition. :headshake We'd get more recognition then Hell, we are getting recognition now. Of course, they have to call us the Red-Hot White Sox, making absolutely positive they get Red and Sox in there. I think they are intentionally trying to do that too
  22. AND GET RID OF THE f***IN BOUNCY BALL s*** THEY PLAY ON
