We have a slow Aussie too!

The torpedo works. I like the rock, but the torpedo works.

I'll try to help... =

Here you go...take your pick. THIS THREAD SUCKS!

Freddy Garcia = The Rock End of discussion
-
I think it's funny that you had to bump a thread two hours after the last post was made. That's what trading for the AL leader in ERA does.
-
f*** that veteran leadership bulls***. If you want veteran leadership from him, put him on the DL for sucking ass and let him hang around the clubhouse.
-
Let me just say that you are not the only one. Personally, I could give a rat's ass about Reed. Losing Big Mo hurts. It hurts a lot. I would rather have given up both Reed and Borchard then given up Olivo. Garcia I do like. I have said that several times. Losing Big Mo is what hurts. Atleast we know why he was pulled in the 7th anyways.

AJ Pierzynski is an immature little b****. But I think(or I atleast assume) he even realizes what would need to be done. You always try to beat the guy throwing the baseball to you on any given day. I'd still try to stay away from him. San Fran would probably want some MLB ready talent, and I could see it most likely being from the bullpen. They can keep him. Jose Molina is interesting. I'd like that. He or Brian Schneider would be OK.
-
That bullpen f***ing sucks ass with 2, maybe 3 good relievers in it. Sad thing is...that's probably our best bullpen at the time being. That's OK...we still need a loogy, and another solid reliever. If we can get say Urbina, I'll like our chances.

Kendall makes $10 mill next year, $11 mill in 06, and $13 mill in 07. Not happening. Charles Johnson will be available(whether we want to visit that again or not), IRod could be(if we want to overpay...AGAIN), and I assume Johnny Estrada could be had as well. There's those, and then we can just get a guy that has a cannon for an arm and just shuts down the oppostion(like Mo did). That's what I'd opt for...we have enough offense. We need a guy who has a very, very good arm behind the plate that also calls a good game.

ESPN 1000: Freddy Garcia traded to the White Sox
witesoxfan replied to Flash Tizzle's topic in Pale Hose Talk
1 GB with like 90 games left. That GB could be 10, and it still wouldn't matter. This team is now set for a run. They just took two HUGE games against the Cubs to salvage a series, and this trade happens. We lose Mo, and that hurts like hell(as I said, a swift kick in the groin), but don't think about what we lost, think about what we got gained. We have all the momentum. Whether we use that and go on a run, or we s*** it down the toilet and start to sell a month from now, no matter. We will win, or we will not. It's John Madden logic, but it's true nonetheless. I think we win. -
The Twins are still in first by one game. But we have a damn solid rotation right now that I would say is top 5 or 6 IN THE MAJORS. Garcia-Buehrle-Loaiza-Garland-Scho 1-5 is probably 2nd in the AL(probably 2nd to the A's, and with Hudson DLing, and Harden with that seperated non-throwing shoulder, we are probably the best right now) in a weak AL Central...if we lose the division, it is our fault. The Twins are now forced to make a move to counter ours...their rotation is not nearly as deep(in fact, it was about the same as ours was going into the day, and now it is that much worse), and their offense can't touch ours. We add a bullpen arm or two, and we have this f***er damn near wrapped up. All we have to do is play the games and win the ones we should. This team is now ready to go on a run. If the rotation settles in like it should, this team is unstoppable until atleast the postseason.
-
Maggs will most definately remain with the team now. Maggs and Rauch for Ortiz and Jones is dead. Does not mean we are done dealing with the Braves.
-
As I said in the other thread...I love the trade for Garcia. But losing Mo hurts. I'm crying on the inside right now. Good luck in Seattle Big Mo! Kick our ass when we play you guys again!

ESPN 1000: Freddy Garcia traded to the White Sox
witesoxfan replied to Flash Tizzle's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'm speechless. And it's not in a good way. I just now realized that Miguel Olivo was my favorite player. Or maybe he wasn't my favorite player. Just the fact that he got shipped out of here and none of us saw it coming. This is like a swift kick in the groin to me. I like Garcia. I think he will help us. But now we have s*** for catchers. And that does not make me happy. KW, if you don't get us another catcher, so help me God, I will kick you in the groin, just like you just kicked me in the groin. -
After a night sleeping on it, I'm now split on this deal. The more I thought about it, the more I realized Ortiz is not the answer we need pitching wise, but KW will most likely make the move thinking he is. Ortiz is not the answer to all our SP problems...he may just add to them. He's an innings eater. I like Jones in CF. But I did remember hearing last year that his range was starting to decline a little. And his numbers this year are nothing to write home about. And if we acquire Jones...where do we put the LH bat? Do we bench Rowand again? Is Konerko or Lee apart of a trade? I am not sure. I would love the Cruz addition a lot. Last year, Josh Beckett had an electric arm, but was clueless when it came to actually pitching. Come postseason-time, he just finally started to pitch, and he figured s*** out. He is now one of the better young pitchers in the league and is money. Cruz is a headcase, and having all the pressure on him, knowing that a team's hopes of advancing in the playoffs rides on him could make him or break him. Some people rise to the opportunity, some do not. It would definately be interesting to see. Losing Maggs would hurt like hell. He has probably been our best hitter(note, not best at the plate...Thomas was best at the plate last year IMO, as far as being dangerous to get on base) for 3 years now. It would definately be hard to give him up. Personally, I'd like to keep both Rauch and Diaz. We all know that's not gonna happen. We need to keep atleast one of them, IMO. Let me just say this. I am not opposed to the deal, but I am not for the deal. There will be all kinds of good and bad things that arise out of it. If the good things outweigh the bad things, then the deal should be made.

Next season is a completely different story. I have no idea what direction this team is going in. As it is, we are looking at two starters that will be FA, and if we get Ortiz, he will be another. I have no doubt in my mind that both Borchard and Reed will be given a fair shot at the RF spot next year. Steve...I just don't see it happening. I think Ozzie will want to stick with what we have.
-
Ozzie would want Rowand, Gload, and Perez there. And I have no doubt about it.
-
Are those the stories with Heads doing something with moose or something like that? And there was like a crotch guard or something like that? I was just thinking about those stories the other day. I don't know why.
-
I've been here since like November of '02. One name. There are several others here before me...one name. See, I don't mind the name changing. If everyone changed their name 3 times a day, I could care less. It's the dumbass posts that get me.
-
That and the fact that he goes from a s*** lineup to a very good lineup, and he goes from a pitcher's park to a hitter's park, not to mention the pitching in the AL Central is nothing compared to the Marlins, Mets, and Phillies is(and even the Expos for that matter) in the NL East. Jones would thrive over here IMO.

Probably. It would be a b****. He can't do anything about it, but you know he's going to get s*** about being beat up by a woman(and as I said, there's nothing he can do about it) -
I'm going to name my son Masturbation.
