  1. Holy s***...I got my ass kicked by everyone. I've been to the Metrodome....and that's it. We're not a traveling family. Though I have seen Camden Yards.
  2. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about Jose's homer, and the fact that it brought in both of our runs. If he gets any help offensively, his error does not matter. You won't win a lot of games with 2 runs....and if we score 4 runs, we still probably win. That's what pisses me off. Scoring 4 runs is not that hard....and with this offense, it should not be hard.
  3. You do like Peter Gammons on the other hand....Don't you? CWSOX45 LMAO I don't think I like any baseball analyst that doesn't actually know what has actually happened on the field. And most of the time, even those ones are misguided. There are too many different philosophies in baseball to be right 90% of the time. And I don't necessarily even like the former player/coach types. For instance....Rob Dibble. He's a goddamn idiot. I do like Harold Reynolds....as I do Bobby Valentine. I really did like Buck Showalter for the time he was on there....and Buck Martinez was OK. Jeff Brantley....Rick Sutcliffe.....Dave Campbell....those guys are all decent too. I just really do not like Gammons for Kurkjian. They have no idea what's going on. They are good at crunching numbers and have a way with words. Baseball is not a numbers game. You see many, many, many different statistics....but half the game is stats....and the other half is intangibles. For instance...say we're back in the 60s, where prejudice is at its peak. Say you add a black person who is very anti-white(as most were back then) and you have a white person who is very anti-black(which a lot were). Both could be studs athletically, but if you put them on the same playing field....all hell would break loose. If you have 1 group of assholes and another group of assholes in the same dugout...a lot of s*** will happen, and it won't always be good. In baseball, you have to be close as a team...and when you have a lot of egos on one team, you won't always get good results.
  4. Jose accounted for both of our runs today. If he gets ANY help, we win the ball game and his error means nothing. Don't get rid of Jose. He's the only one, aside from maybe Thomas, that is exceeding expectations and is actually playing well....offensively, that is. I'm not talking about pitching....because if I was, you'd see Loaiza's name as well.
  5. I'll get real f***ing rich then and buy the White Sox from his nephew. How's that sound?
  6. Agreed. This team has played absolutely god-awful, and after this series, it should be the end of Gary Ward. He has done nothing to improve this team. BRING BACK VON JOSHUA!
  7. Was there supposed to be a smiley in that or the text green? I believe Yofu is a pitcher....not a SS.
  8. Nunez is a possible Tony G type player. He won't be much, but he can play. Whatever worth you put on them, he did put up pretty good numbers in Spring Training.
  9. Someone is to play for the pathetic play of this offense, and it ain't JM's fault. We hire a hitting coach for 1 reason, and that is the only reason we hire him....to help this team hit better. Gary Ward has done the opposite....this team has hit worse and worse, day-by-day. We just got our asses handed to us by 3 s*** pitchers, with Lohse being the best out of the bunch. And we call ourselves an offense?
  10. And I officially proclaim myself owner, fire you, and bring all my players back up.
  11. Ugh... I thought, right when I saw that, I said "Don't let that get you down. Hunter is a hell of a player, and he will make plays like that. You just gotta come back fighting." With our team, they will get in the dumps about it. Like they s*** their diapers and are crying about getting them changed. This team is pissing me off right now.
  12. Other than those few minor faults you really like the guy right? Exactly
  13. Kurkjian is f***ing clueless. He doesn't know jacks*** about anything. Everytime I hear him start to talk, I hit the mute button. "Once Minnesota takes over first place, they won't come out." - Tim Kurkjian, in his squeaky ass voice. He never convinces anyone with what he says, because he hasn't hit puberty yet and he's like 45-50 years old.
  14. I hate Torii Hunter more than anyone else in the game. Folks, this guy's defense alone is worth $8 million, let alone his offensive ability. I sure as hell with the White Sox had a CFer that was a 5-tool player like Hunter.
  15. that last few sentences being the scarry part........ If Willie goes down this team is so f***ed defensively it's not even funny. CWSOX45 Willie's not good defensively in CF. Rowand is much, much better in CF than Harris. Harris was brought up mainly because he was ripping the cover off the ball in Charlotte.
  16. Blame this all on Buehrle, yet don't even bother mentioning Garland. Atleast Buehrle has an ERA under 5.00. That is something Garland can't say.
  17. Maybe it's time to put Sandy on the 60-day DL for continually calling bad games and get a good backup catcher and let Miguel start 5 games a week. Sandy's still there to mentor Miguel, but he just isn't calling bad games anymore.
  18. I am calling a pitcher that has won 34 or 35 games for us over the past two years with a combined ERA for those two years at end 3.50 an ace. Unless you are the Yankees, Braves, or A's....that is an ace. Loaiza could revert to that form....but he could also continue to pitch well for a while. I'm looking at the talent in the bullpen, not at the stats. Marte has been good, Glover has been good, and Wunsch has been very good(just as I thought in the offseason), and Gordon has been sharp all year, and if Tuesday's game against the Orioles was any sign of what we'll see from Koch in the future....then he has obviously turned it around too. I'll just leave it at that.
  19. When you said... I don't give a FF about last year.. I agree with with you. But whan you mentioned the Marlins, they dismantled that team. The Twins have not done that. I realize that was a bad example....I was just trying to point out that just because a team is the defending division champ should not and does not make them the favorites. 247....you should also give a little thanks to cwsox....he found the picture.
  20. So why do you single out Buehrle and not realize the fact that Garland has been much, much s***tier than Buehrle? Give Buehrle a f***ing break....jeezus f***ing christ. How about you start b****ing out Koch about how he f***ed up in April? Why not b**** out the lineup for not coming back and scoring after Buehrle gave up the 3-run dinger? Also cdub....shoulda thanked you before....but forgot to. So thanks
  21. I hear the little one has a hell of a swing. And the one with the purple hat and purple shorts on is fast as hell. The one in the back with the cape on has a cannon. That's all I know though. The one with the orange hair and lantern is the mosy dynamic catcher to come along in ages - throws out runners, hits for numbers and with power, and calls a great game. We may as well rename ourselves the Chicago Hummel's before it's all over. I should have mentioned....I heard this from the Hummel in the blue hat beside the little one....he's gonna be a helluva coach someday.
  22. Bulls***. That pitching staff had 2 aces....as does this one. That staff had a solid #3(Floyd Bannister, from Pierre, SD )....as does this one in Loaiza. That staff also had solid back end...and this one will be solid as well. This team has a better bullpen, and a better offense. I just think we need a faster leadoff hitter....but, IMO, we really don't even need that. We just can't depend on the 3-run homer. The difference between the two pitching staffs is the fact that the 83 staff had some strikeout pitchers and the 03 staff does not. That, IMO, is the main difference.
  23. I hear the little one has a hell of a swing. And the one with the purple hat and purple shorts on is fast as hell. The one in the back with the cape on has a cannon. That's all I know though.
  24. Is that when a player starts struggling, they should be sent down to the minors, or should be benched, or is on the latter half of his career and his talent is decreasing, or he should be shot in the head, or something like that. People....GIVE THESE GUYS A f***ING BREAK.....I'm so f***ing sick and tired of seeing "Trade Buehrle" or "Trade Garland"(though if it were to improve the team, I wouldn't be against that one) or "Let's have a fire-sale." Has anyone checked their calender recently? Because the last time I checked, it's May. The baseball regular season is 6 months long, and it starts in late March/early April, and continues on till late September/early October. That means that we still have 4 1/2 months left. Do you realize how many games that is? I do. It is 121 games. A lot of s*** can and will happen in 121 games. Let's wait and see what does in fact happen. I am tired of underachieving....but I want to wait for a little bit to consider this season a disappointment. We were 38-35 before the All-Star break in 1983...and we ended up with 99 wins. Just a little reminder of the s*** that can happen
