  1. Jesus, I can't believe I have to do this. 1.6 WAR in 2011 5.9 WAR in 2012 .687 OPS in 2011 .796 OPS in 2012 He also put up .32 of a win playing 92 innings (essentially 10 games) at SS, .11 of a win playing 33 innings at SS, .12 of a win playing 73 innings at 2B, .16 of a win playing 163.1 innings at 3B. He was good defensively literally everywhere last year. Nevermind that he was incredibly mediocre defensively the year before. It's a good trade for both teams.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 07:53 PM) He's right. There's that level of talent. Braves level of talent. Odds of them reaching it? We shall see. All comes down to Addison Reed
  3. QUOTE (WilburWilhelm @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 10:08 PM) I completely disagree. Any player that strikes out 222 times and bats .204 is a poor hitter in any spot in the order. Only two more long years till that bum is gone. The Sox would be better off batting Keppinger third. Then good luck replacing 40 homers and 100+ walks. That's, like, 260 bases you have to make up for, somehow, some way. Seriously...good luck.
  4. Chris Getz is starting at 2B. Jeff Francouer in RF. Lorenzo Cain was average and hurt last year. Alcides Escobar somehow managed to hit .290 while striking out more and walking less. I happen to really like Alex Gordon, Mike Moustakas, Eric Hosmer, Billy Butler, and even Salvador Perez, but, as far as I'm concerned, the Royals have 4 pretty big question marks and/or holes in their lineup. Their rotation is incredibly mediocre. But, they do have a great bullpen which is something the White Sox don't OH NEVERMIND
  5. QUOTE (floridafan @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 05:25 PM) Who comes up with this analysis? Are they really reputable? I really like the way they score Grabe, lol. Despite his poor OPS, Ruben Sierra Jr has a good Iso considering his average - about .120. If you extrapolate that out to a .300 average, his slugging is around .500 or so (given the increase volume of extra base hits that would accompany it). However, because he struck out so much and had such a poor average, his contact is terrible. They also don't seem to adjust for higher levels. I wouldn't pay attention to those numbers at all.
  6. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 04:07 PM) Montana is a super model compared to Peyton. And Peyton isn't even the ugliest Super Bowl QB in Colts history, as indicated above.
  7. Eh, Mustain was never really a prospect, so I'm not going to add him to that list. EDIT: Their strategy should be to draft more tight ends.
  8. QUOTE (earthshiner @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 03:55 PM) first Wise was brought back, then Andy Gonzalez, now Stewart. Who's next? Danny Richar? Paco Martin
  9. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 03:59 PM) Wite, I think you need to write an article about the sexiest qbs. These are the type of hard hitting articles that major sites are afraid to take on. I will nail this to a wall (no homo)
  10. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 03:41 PM) Eli has better hair? And a stupider looking face. He always looks surprised with his mouth hanging open. Roethlisberger automatically qualifies due to being rape-y
  11. How on earth do you mention Peyton without first mentioning Eli?
  12. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 03:22 PM) Terry Bradshaw was a handsome man. But more handsome than Jim Kelly? I don't think so.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 03:11 PM) They are all Rexy. #1) Rex Grossman #2) Joe Namath #3) Jim McMahon #4) Troy Aikman #5) Jim Kelly Honorable Mention: TOM BRADY
  14. I'm going to be the only one laughing when Zach Stewart wins the Cy Young award next year
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 02:34 PM) Who wins 1-on-1? SCALABRINE OUT OF NOWHERE
  16. The other thing is that you don't want to leave them dependent upon the government, because that is when taxes become extraordinary. The Native American population is entirely dependent upon the federal government at this point in time, and that was due to the way that situation was handled. Help them get on their feet and give them the tools to succeed on their own.
  17. QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 01:15 PM) I think we can all agree that Derrick Rose is better than both MJ and LeBron James. Let's see them go 3-1 against Brian Scalabrine. Even giving them 2 points, I still have Scal winning by 5.
  18. Sammy speaks English, and does everything but admit that he used steroids http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sosa-says-mcg...54874--mlb.html That's pretty damn close to an admission for me.
  19. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 12:45 PM) Yup. Thats about it. Some bad laws and we had to go through the divisive and arduous process of removing those laws. 500,000 Americans died to get rid of slavery, and ending state segregation was not a bloodless endeavor either. It wasn't as simple as just changing the law undoing that s***. Say you have Stage IV cancer. You fight it until you're almost rid of it, and it's isolated to your liver. Are you going to celebrate and call it a success, or should you fight a little bit more just so you can be rid of the thing? This is different than frivolous and pointless spending. There is the possibility for legitimate economic benefit and growth from helping these people, while also keeping the streets safer.
  20. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 12:07 PM) Except the Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, which made all six endings canon. f*** now I have to play this game too
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 11:52 AM) Don't you hate on stair steppers - they are the s***. Didn't say I didn't like them, just that there is a huge difference between going up actual stairs versus stair steppers, just as there's a huge difference between doing chest presses with the assisted machines, standard bench press, and dumbbell bench press.
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 11:49 AM) There, I said it. Flame on. And flame on they did
