I think in like 99% of the cases, that's true. There are some where guys are going to get huge, mega contracts where they do take a home town discount. Jered Weaver is the one that comes to mind right away. He re-signed with LAA for like 5/$90 and people asked him why he didn't test free agency where he could have gotten like $120+ million and he just said "I'm happy here and that's more money then I'll ever need, so why would I turn it down?" Not that they need my respect, but my admiration grew for Weaver the same amount as the Grinch's heart grew too. Anyways, yes, I'd take whoever offered me the most money.

I don't recall ever having a snow day in Bismarck while in high school. I'm sure we had a couple but -15 and -20 below is expected here a couple times per year, as are heavy snowfalls. The only time I could have stayed home from school/work due to weather was a 36 hour, 18-24 inch snow that left most of Bismarck stranded at home. I was able to get out and went to work anyways because I had a Jeep and SNOW DON'T SCARE ME ONE BIT

For the record, I don't think MLB will look to move/expand a team to Charlotte in the short to intermediate future either, and the park is not able to handle an MLB crowd at this moment anyways, but if they ever view expansion as viable - and they've gone 16 years without expansion, which has to be the longest stretch in quite a while - Charlotte should be one of the areas that is considered.
