All I'll say is that it's a crying shame that Varitek is in the game seeing as how there are like 12 other better candidates.

There's no way Thomas's 1994 is not the greatest season in the history of the White Sox. He had an OPS of like 1.200, and other than basically Bonds and Ruth, it's one of the greatest OPS's of all time.

You seem to be arguing not that Uribe should have been in the lineup but that Alexei wouldn't have made a difference...why wouldn't you put your best team on the field when, quite clearly, Alexei Ramirez is a far superior option to Juan Uribe at this point in time? Argue that Uribe needed playing time atleast, not that Alexei would have made no difference.
