While this is great to be where we are at, but recent history has shown that the team that gets through the last month of the season on a high note is the one that rides the wave to the LCS or the World Series (See Cubs, Marlins, Angels etc) I truly hope that if we get the division wrapped up with 15 days to go, we figure out a way to not get too fat sitting around.....complacency before the playoffs has doomed many a great team I would hate for this to happen to us this year....
-
Ozzie has already said he would not be going even if invited....he has to settle his citizenship paperwork over that weekend
-
Buerhle does wonders for our bullpen....every time he takes the ball, you are assured 7 innings at least....very impressive

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 08:33 PM) No one said that both won't make it. Calm down. The All-Star Game is meaningless crap anyways. Yeah the AStar game is in general useless but still it is important PR for the Sox to have as many players as they can there In the battle to get more casual fans to the ball park, this helps a lot. We need our studs to start getting noticed in the city and around the country. That helps us get FAs in the offseason and allows us tohave better home and road support in terms of fans. And that matters.....it absolutely does.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 07:20 AM) Which announcer was it that said this? Green I believe....the guy who does the all night show He is on right now....go to www.sportingnewsradio.com to hear him right now
-
The legit rumor is that the Cubs are looking at Kotsay. The announcer then added his $0.02 that he thought maybe the Cubs would give up Corey Patterson for Kotsay.....so take it for what it is worth. The story is about Kotsay....not Patterson
-
Just heard on sporting news radio that CUbs are looking at Mark Kotsay.....Corey Patterson could be traded for him was what the announcer speculated
-
Sorry fellas....it is very exciting for us out of towners, trust me We cling onto any sports radio stuff as much as we can.
-
Obviously this is somewhere else and I did not bother seeing it ah?
-
http://www.670thescore.com/ In case you did not know, ESPN radio1000 (www.espnradio1000.com) was already on the net. Now, we out of towners can listen to more sports coverage during work and from home I know this is not Pale Hose talk but can we please keep this here since it is a big deal for out of towners who would love to listen to any Sox news/talk shows etc

Bo Sox killing the Tribe 9-4 so that should help within the division -
And we still had only 28K attending on a Sunday night for a national TV game The excuses are just not cutting it anymore
-
The one good thing about the Tribe getting hot is that they will play the twinkies hard down the stretch as they go for the wild card at least That can only help us.... Put me down in the camp of I do fear the Injuns as much as the Tribe. CC Sabathia, Milwood, Westbrook can be very dangerous as a trio of pitchers down the stretch.

We need our O to jump on Lima and score quickly in the top 3 innings to give BMac some breathing room and let him throw strikes without worrying about HRs -

QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 05:00 AM) I'll be there in the bleachers. Drop me a PM if you want to meet up. It's gonna be nice to see B-Mac's home debut. Home debut? From the "Let's go Sox" chants at Wrigley this year, it looked like a home game to me for BMac -

QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 04:50 AM) so it's official mac is starting? It says so here http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines -
Buddy Bell has them playing inspired ball, but the Sox have to think minimum series win, and try everything for a sweep The Twinkies just lost with Santana on the mound today. They could very well lose the series to the Tiggers, giving us the opportunity to really extend this lead to 10 games by the time we play the Flubs So, I say EAT s*** ROYALS. Game info: Monday: 7:05 p.m.; WCIU-Ch. 26 RH Jose Lima (1-5, 7.38 ERA) vs. RH Brandon McCarthy (0-1, 6.97)
