  1. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 05:15 PM) I love when I can't stop myself from yelling when I'm by myself. Lets shut them down now pen! get Gavin a win. And Gavin deserves a W. I want to see this pen step up and shut the Tigers down quickly and firmly
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 05:12 PM) Well, this year was worth sticking with the Sox until the end...no matter what happens tomorrow. Guys....sorry to be the party pooper here but we haven't won yet...
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 05:04 PM) You can't let Griffey bat here. He's 8 for 45 vs LHP with the Sox, and Seay's nasty on lefties. I really hope this is one of those times where Ozzie makes a bonehead decision and it pays off
  4. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 04:52 PM) Did Leyland say that everyone was available today? (e.g. Verlander, Rogers, etc)? I assume those guys need a helluva lot more time to warm up but just wondering if we have their REAL pen or the chance of facing any of their starters I guess seeing who was brought in I just answered my own question
  5. QUOTE (G&T @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 04:50 PM) Freddy is getting pulled. Did Leyland say that everyone was available today? (e.g. Verlander, Rogers, etc)? I assume those guys need a helluva lot more time to warm up but just wondering if we have their REAL pen or the chance of facing any of their starters
  6. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 04:44 PM) Hell of an outing by Gavin. This was a good outing all things considered. I don't care about the throwing error, as bad as it was, as we need to f***ing MAN UP and score some God Damn runs like real men and quit f***ing around
  7. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 01:21 PM) My friend is at the game and she just said that the tarp is still on the field (I asked her to message me when they take it off), she also said that the game might be delayed until 4... Dont quote me on the start time, but im pretty sure that the tarp is still there. All you need to do is look at the radar map on weather.com. Watch the map in motion by hitting the play button and you'll see the weather should be gone in 20 minutes if not quicker so figure what kind of time it will take to prepare the field and we're going to be playing baseball....at the latest I would say an hour from now
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 08:27 PM) I just don't feel it at all with this team. 2006 was more heartbreaking than this is shaping up to be. SCOTT LINEBRINK SHOULD NOT BE PITCHING IN A BIG SITUATION! 100% agreed
  9. QUOTE (shawnhillegas @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 08:23 PM) f*** this team. It's not worth caring. Guys, we all knew this was going to be a blood bath going in. No matter what we're not escaping with a win in this series. And Nathan will be lights out in the 9th. And if you think there is any hope that we can win after getting swept, think again. We have no chance as Minny is running the table, we're done unless we can win our last 4 in a row at home...
  10. I swear if I went out there on the hill today wearing a Twins Uniform I could throw a quality start on us right now
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 06:59 PM) If this goes the way it looks the rest of the season, I just pray that huge changes are made from the top on down. This team has no enthusiasm and just doesn't seem to want to keep playing. This was exactly what I was worried about. We would find a way to NOT score against a struggling pitcher who is throwing f***ing meatballs up there. Well, good luck tomorrow Gavin, we need ya to play meaningful games this weekend.
  12. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 06:58 PM) Wise had a chance to shut this crowd up with a breakthrough hit on the back-up/hanging slider and he just didn't get it done. Now we're really in a huge dogfight. I wouldn't call it a dogfight. I would say we're getting smoked once again so far...
  13. 2 runs scored WITHOUT ONE ball hit hard. Minnesota baseball at home. At some point you can't say it's luck. I mean, you cannot be this lucky, can you?
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 03:36 PM) Tha Wise III might make a groundbreaking debut today in the Metrodome. I am IN!!! Let's do this!
  15. I had the Twins feed on TV tonight (watching this debacle in Europe and its currently 4:45 AM) and it's just as annoying her the Twins announcer expecting EVERY pop up, busted bat etc to fall....and BTW what a joke this stadium is. When the Twins move into their new place in two years I guarantee they will NOT be the same team...
  16. I actually think it would be great if the Twins threw at the White Sox and caused a brawl. Someone needs to kick these guys in the ass and get some fire in their belly- it's like these guys have written off the season how they are playing with absolutely no fight tonight. What a ridiculous effort from Javy when we needed it
  17. I don't get why we're putting DJ out there unless we don't plan on ever using him in this series in a close game???? This is the PERFECT time for Horrible Ramirez, Juan Agosto's long lost Twin brother
  18. Does anyone agree with throwing a bean ball right now? Maybe we don't want to get them fired up for the last 2 games but something to change the White Sox perspective is needed right now...it's getting time for some desperate measures....
  19. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 09:02 PM) Ok, NOW you're just being ridiculous. LOL. Obviously I am pissed and so sick of this team losing to the Twins. But secondly, I actually think we match up OK with the other teams in the playoffs, and for us to NOT EVEN GET A CHANCE YET AGAIN is the most frustrating part. If we go to the post season whatever happens at least we gave ourselves a chance and quite frankly we have a 10 times better chance of beating ANYONE BUT the Twins in the post season which makes this even worse....
  20. After not even competing in this game, it's a two game series. Scott Baker 6 STRONG as expected and will probably go through this lineup easily for 2 more innings, saving the Twins BP. Expect more of the same NO MATTER WHO they throw out there tomorrow. Now, who believes the Whitesox can split a two game series in the dome WHEN THE GAMES COUNT? I don't. Season over.
  21. I think its classic to see HOW HARD we worked to get ONE f***ING RUN last inning and couldn't do it and the Twins get a few runs as easy as pie. If that doesn't demonstrate how bad we are I don't know what does.
  22. But I thought the lefty-lefty matchup would work in our favor? LOL. We're being exposed now gentleman.
  23. Hawk has been around long enough to know when you're going through a funeral procession. You guys are just a little too young and a little too naive to know it if you think this team is going to win ONE game this series. I really hope I am wrong. REALLY. After the way this series has started, it's the same thing all over again, and when you've been there before you get an idea of what it is when it appears. And for the record, the Twins will NOT lose a game to KC to finish the year, so we need one game to have a chance. We have two more shots.
  24. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 08:18 PM) Not even close Do you really see this team winning ONE game this series? My whole adult life this team has NEVER been able to beat the Twins in a pennant race. In 2005 the Twins weren't in it... This season is no different. Buckle up boys because we're going to need to win our last 4 games of the year including the makeup game just to make it to a 1 game playoff as we will be trailing by a 1/2 game after Thursday night....Twins will go 5-0 to finish this season after the easy W tonight which we've already given them
