2022 ALCS- Yankees/Astros
Break up the Astros!

Fire Rick Hahn
Semien up for his second consecutive Gold Glove. Might go to Gimenez. Not a single member of the White Sox nominated.

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
At least it's an interesting series now. 3/26 if losing first two at home, 85 Royals, 86 Mets, 96 Yankees vs. Braves the exceptions. Snell will go down as one of the heroes of the last couple of months. Arguably their best pitcher when Musgrove was fading.

ONeil Cruz might beat 120 mph.

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
Yep they still needed him for CF defense and Myers hasn't done anything all year. Profar would have been a fine acquisition because he can play everywhere on the field... but especially LF and 2B.

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
Hader was great at the end after figuring things out. Drury was fine for a $300,000 acquisition. Bell was Adam Frazier, 2021 version. (Compare to Leury Garcia.) But after watching Soto for two months now, just no way they will end up giving him a massive contract extension as well. But also no way they make the playoffs without Soto. Period. Also, can't imagine this pen with Brash and Munoz that were traded to the Mariners. Would top 2014-15 KC.

Machado Grisham Nola the only hitters with over a 734 ops in the postseason...pretty crazy.

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
Five FBI's. Highly unlikely either of those guys are back as FA's...Drury has played well but slumping mightily until today.

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
They only have his contract for two more years so not quite the same situation lol.

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
He hasn't been close to a $300-500 million type of player since joining the team. Soto does certainly walk a lot, though.

White Sox Mgr Speculation Thread
Friedman is blaming bad luck, definitely not himself nor Roberts. Says he’s planning 100% for his manager to return.

Why didn't that stop Kenny Williams from having a high level of success from 2000-2012? What changed?

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
His wife/fiance/taxes/family/atttractiveness of East Coast home base. Pretty sure he grew up a Braves' fan.

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
Or Drury. Who will cost a lot more than under $1 million coming off his 2022 season. But, alas, right-handed.

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
Bell has been terrible for months. Which means Hahn will probably sign him and lock Eloy into LF.
-
2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
Further making JR/Hahn look like idiots for being so stubbornly unwilling to change managers until it was far too late in the season and there was basically zero choice.

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
I'm actually mildly surprised Wheeler didn't get hurt earlier in the game with how hard he was throwing tonight. We'll see if it factors into Game 4/5 match-ups. Maybe not. Now all the pressure shifts to Blake Snell and Joe Musgrove for Games 2/3.

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
I'm getting a feeling that just getting past the Mets and Dodgers (two 100+ win teams) is going to be moral victory enough for the Padres. This has never felt like a championship-caliber team all season. That said, I would have sworn about ten days before the end of the season when the Phillies were struggling mightily with teams like the Nationals that they were absolutely dead in the water and that the Brewers were going to overtake them down the stretch.

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
This game is pretty much an Exhibit A "tour de force" of players NOT signed by the Sox...yes, I replied to myself lol. This editing button still takes some getting used to. (At least Gen X is relatively closer to retirement. Not ready for the meta verse yet. Neither is FB. At least Netflix got their act in gear.)

Will Jared Kelenic equal Schwarber's homers this year...in his entire MLB career?

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
Or Castellanos, although he had an "unFathomably" poor season this year...

2022 NLCS- Phillies/Padres
Yankees vs. Phillies would be a dream matchup from a media perspective...two toughest markets in the US, along with Boston, arguably.

2022 Playoffs Divisional Round
https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/40934/aaron-civale Yankees' hitters 20/76 and 725 ops against Civale coming in. Still, you have to figure out a way to get your best pitcher on the mound instead of your fourth or fifth starter. Between that, on the road, and Naylor, felt like a loss from the get go. Still not over with a very shaky Yankees' but close.

Your 2023 Off-Season Plan
Why would Correa take a $5 million pay cut unless he's getting a ten year deal for $300 million guaranteed?
