  1. Did Dave Wilder ever file a lawsuit against the team based on sexual orientation discrimination? He was actually protected until the very end by KW at risk to his career and reputation.
  2. Fair enough. Just happy that Graveman didn't have to make another pitch. Relieved. And I guess it was still bailed out in the sense that in the past, there was no replay system and the reversal would never have been possible and game play would have continued on after the incorrect call.
  3. Or the old Dunkin' Donuts guy...."time to make the donuts." Amazing how much more modern the image of that franchise is right now, compared to the 80's or 90's.
  4. Well, this is the exact same argument about Tatis, Jr. I think it's fair to say between Buxton/Correa and Robert/Moncada...whichever grouping plays the most and puts up the most fWAR for the the remainder of the season is going a long way towards deciding the eventual fate of the division. Buxton has already earned his $10 million for this season at 1.6 fWAR. (Time will tell if Carlos Rodon, likewise, will earn his $22 million if he can't finish the season out for whatever reason.)
  5. Bailed out means not whether the call was right or wrong here...but that we didn't have to pitch to Hedges with the bases loaded. Obviously the odds were minuscule he was going to hit a GS, but for those who watched last night's debacle...anything seemed possible all of a sudden.
  6. Thought it was going to be against the organization for their off season moves...by a group of season ticket holders. Wow...just read the allegations. Seems very personal with Hahn, obviously there are two sides that will emerge at trial...if it gets that far.
  7. Looks more like Jerry Narron. Definitely not Katz, he's too scruffy. Or is that the "Where's the Beef?" Wendy's lady 30 years later?
  8. Yeah, but 1.6 versus 0.7 fWARs. Just goes to show how impactful he is when in the lineup, and conversely how much the Twins suffer when he's out. Btw, Machado right now is dominating all of MLB in that stat, leading Arenado and Jose Ramirez 2.8 to 2.0. Trout and teammate Taylor Ward at 1.9.
  9. Cuban/Latin connection, lol. Yes, I realize he's not from there, but the White Sox have perhaps the most dominant Latino clubhouse leadership/vibe (other than TA7, Lucas and Liam) of any team in baseball.
  10. Have you ever watched the t.v. series based on the comic "Doom Patrol," lol?
  11. Should have been thinking about the win for your boy Giolito after one of his best outings of the season where he finally was able to consistently mix in the slider as a 3rd viable pitch to keep them off the changeup and FB.
  12. Well, apparently they played a great game tonight on defense (Moncada particularly) with the exception of Abreu on the very last/controversial play of the game. Whatever led to that in the clubhouse, do more of that.
  13. Against the INDIANS this year. And the whole mentality of the team/bullpen mindset. I wasn't referring to the winning streak. And yes, if we would have blown this one and gone down 5-0 against the Guardians to start the year with VV going tomorrow, that would have felt a lot like bleeding to me.
  14. I just have the audio feed, which is more nerve-wracking trying to interpret the responses in the thread since there's a slight delay here.
  15. Austin Hedges hitting a grand slam there...about as random a guy as anyone to pull it off, that would have been ALMOST as bad as last night. But 8-2 up last night and then having multiple chances with two outs to get out of it, then blowing two bases loaded situations in the 9th and 10th was something you see only once every 40 years or so.
  16. Well, it's hard to expect a victory tmrw with VV, but they have temporarily staunched the bleeding and avoided the ONE outcome they couldn't afford, which would be two heartbreaking losses in a row followed by a second sweep in the early season. Hopefully the Twins get swept by the Astros before the Twins hit their "easy" stretch starting this weekend all the way through June 3rd.
  17. MLB wants to give this game even more drama, lol...
  18. You've gotta be kidding me. Now Abreu falls apart on defense.
  19. Cleveland has already rallied from down in the 8th inning twice since Sunday...once against the Blue Jays.
  20. Especially when he's hitting .100 on the road coming into tonight's game.
  21. Here we go again...all with two outs. Gimenez has been red hot coming into tonight. Gets in trouble when he tries to hit for power.
