Poor Missouri/ISU fans... Sox fans still aren't on love with Kelly at the 158 game mark?

Heavy lifting for Kelly here. Wheel play? Kelly must believe he's pitching for the Dodgers.

Yelich Adams Tellez Three best hitters to get at least one to tie.

High for Cease 110 this year.

First homers surrendered this month. Plus Brewers burned Williams now for tmrw.

City Connect jerseys...marketing

Williams barely held on last night...first and second no outs. Strangely Wendle didn't bunt.

Can't throw a slider there to Cronenworth.

Marlins just lost their starter to injury. Seems pretty certain Brewers will be able to come back now...but stranger things have happened in these situations.

Almost feel sorry for Iowa State. At least their rookie placekicker. Pressure swallowed him up.

Seems nobody was willing here (including the training staff) to take on LaRussa or question "the Sox system" and it's easy to understand for a relative MLB outsider not wanting to shake the boat like a certain highly touted Coach Lisle.

Narvaez was from an NL organization if I recall...McCann obviously the Central.

Pretty sure him and Plesac? He was also involved with the Tatis and Bauer "groupie" allegations. And provided CLE with 20% of their roster. Also a key free agent pitcher this off season with Manaea that will be hotly debated here since his price range won't be as exorbitant...such as Rodon.

Could be the Sox AND Rodon for SF on the road. That said, the Padres probably only need to go 2-3 from here on out. 2-7 finish to the season and backing in not the best plan...but might get them a matchup with the Cards, who they beat in the postseason two years ago. Avoiding Mets/Braves not the worst "unintended" consequences.

Nationals mauling the Phillies. Tied in the WC spot, both now 2 GB with 5 to play...including Philly on fumes in Game 2 tonight. Milwaukee essentially 3 back due to tiebreaker. Padres might be backing in...we shall see.

Good question. Thome the perfect example.

Darin Erstad says hello.

Now we can pretend we didn't trade Tatis AND Sosa away. That's a pretty neat trick. Baines, too.

Pha > Milwaukee Pha > SD SD > Milwaukee Obviously Brewers have to play like they are 3 games back with just 5 to go.

Surprised he was all the way up to 97.

There’s no guarantee they were going to get a longer term deal done, but at least get that compensation pick back. Just a massive talent swing out of the organization. And Cueto’s likelihood of repeating with a bigger deal…well, been down that road before. And wasn’t Rodon so much as two very wrong moves simultaneously, that pretty much everyone saw coming a mile away, not just putting Kimbrel in the rear view window for only $1 million.

All offseason…what did we say over and over and over again?

‘Los, 6.2, leading all of baseball and specifically Aaron Nola by 0.3 with just one possible start remaining against the Padres to decide a playoff spot. Poised to be #1 free agent pitcher on the market unless deGrom shockingly bolts, or Verlander inexplicably leaves Houston. Cueto 2.3 Lynn 1.7 Giolito 1.7 Kopech 1.0=6.7 Da.Martin 0.9=7.6 Fyi, Dylan Cease @ 4.6

https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2022&month=0&season1=2022&ind=0 Rodon leads all of mlb in fWAR by 0.3 over Nola going into the final five games. Seems like Alcantara wins the NL Cy over Burnes, Rodon and Nola battling for third depending on how Phillies finish. Fried…then Gallen.

They’re going to charge all fans earning less than $100k 25% more for tickets while giving tickets away to anyone worth more than $10 million? Kwasi Karteng or whatever that trickle down-named guy, come on down!
