  1. $2.7bn each year The NBA is currently in a 9-year $24bn deal with Disney and Turner Broadcasting. This deal brings in ~$2.7bn each year. Vs. $550 million / 30 and what's left of the RSN deals
  2. https://www.cleveland.com/guardians/2026/03/the-plot-twist-nobody-saw-coming-brayan-rocchio-joins-team-italy-and-now-faces-venezuela-in-wbc-semis.html Should probably have started Roccio at SS. Might have helped prevent that three run inning. Natural SS.
  3. Any Baldwin elbow soreness updates?
  4. Sheer talent is winning out here. Shouldn't be a shocker...Lorenzen only had the one decent offer ($8 million) from Colorado of all teams. “It's always been interesting to me. I've always wondered what it would take to pitch at Coors more so on like the pitch shapes, how the ball moves, ball flight. … Just to be able to put it into practice and see what works, what doesn't, is exciting to me,” Lorenzen told Jake Peavy in an MLB Network special.
  5. Almost impossible angle/pivot to get it there to second...but should have just put in his pocket.
  6. Antonacci missing the Witt Jr/Tovar arm strength... Same would have happened to Meidroth or Sosa on that play.
  7. Strange not to go with Sal Perez against his former teammate when Contreras has been so cold. Walk Acuna lol? Would do it with 1B open.
  8. Festa has a lot more starting experience during his career. Ofc everyone on the US team also much more familiar with these two and Weissert. Venezuela starting to feel the pressure it seems...
  9. Started out on fire in pool play, and has definitely cooled off with the increase in talent level/competition.
  10. Antonacci didn't have a chance there. "The Kansas City Royals traded left-handed reliever Angel Zerpa to the Milwaukee Brewers for versatile outfielder Isaac Collins and right-hander Nick Mears on Sunday." High price but that guy has been quite impressive...
  11. https://www.mlb.com/player/sam-aldegheri-691951 Weissert is the closer and he's pitched just 3 1/3, which leads ever one left in the bullpen. This guy's essentially their third starter.
  12. McLean got roughed up a bit last time. No idea who Italy can go to...has to be a bullpen heavy game.
  13. Venezuela seems just a bit flat tonight after investing all their energy into taking down Japan...
  14. .118 .698 Has five runs scored, two massive Xb hits and has held his own at SS...but he's not ready yet.
  15. https://www.espn.com/nba/attendance/_/sort/homeTotal And Bulls STILL right up there at the top for NBA attendance...
  16. https://www.mlb.com/gameday/white-sox-vs-rangers/2026/03/16/831905/live/box White Sox vs. Rangers Burke starting Looks like a 2023-24 Sox lineup.
  17. Especially after the low strike call against Soto...
  18. Hasn't been right all spring.
  19. That was all the responsibility of amateur and pro scouting for signing/drafting/trading for the wrong players lol... Blame the likes of Hostetler and Haber and JR "meddling" as well. Sounds pretty familiar... Take credit for all successes, and throw everyone involved with perceived failures under the bus.
  20. Seems we already had this debate... Not sure about starting Hagen in AAA...4-6 weeks of BIRM starts to continue stacking confidence would have been another approach. Who did Murphy make it over? Eisert or Gilbert? Both? Paez is going to be rostered now?
  21. Need another Machado thread to accomplish that...or playoff series victory.
  22. Pasquantino and teammate M.Garcia meet at first...was really careful that neither got injured.
  23. Decided to go with Nola over Lorenzen. Interesting call based on 2025 results, but both were very solid their last times out. https://www.si.com/mx/beisbol/corazon-azzurro-francisco-cervelli-clasico-mundial-italia-venezuela-roberto-baggio For Francisco Cervelli, it all started on the lawn of Pasadena’s Rose Bowl on July 17, 1994. That afternoon, an eight-year-old boy in Valencia, Venezuela, watched with anguish as Roberto Baggio, the Divine Codino, sent the penalty over the crossbar and handed the World Cup to Brazil. 24. JR could have left a legacy... Simply by investing $700-850 million of his own money into the new stadium. But he put his kids' inheritance and avoiding capital gains taxes over the public trust/stewardship of the Sox. Now he's simply holding the franchise hostage, instead of moving forward into the future. Could have had the new baseball stadium or at least the field named after him. Could have named the Bulls' court after Michael Jordan. But one would think both those ships have already sailed.
  25. Double tanking, Covid and loss of broadcasting revenues...
