  1. We really want to instigate this debate when everyone’s in a sour mood?
  2. We already used Heuer and he struggled, too.
  3. And Crochet has been somewhere between pretty good and really good but rarely 100% dominant.
  4. Who else do you go to there? Lopez? Crochet? Kopech? Isn’t Michael starting Monday?
  5. Simple, get back three of their best players at close to 100%.
  6. They’re not going to convert Story to second base in the middle of a pennant race.
  7. White Sox without Jimenez, Grandal and Robert are just not a match. Of course, Houston without Bregman, too.
  8. Another Leury run. At least we’re booking lots of revenue with nearly 35,000. Always play like crap in front of big home crowds…Astros starting to get in the heads of Sox. 35-9 vs. bad teams 19-24 against the rest of field 0-5 vs. Houston
  9. We don’t have a seventh inning high leverage guy right now.
  10. Well, if you’re going to blame the wet grounds for not being able to get a great grip on the ball while moving…if he threw it away and out runners on second and third?
  11. But, with the rain, seems by his reaction he didn’t have a great grip on the ball.
  12. He started heading to the vicinity…inexplicably stopped, forgetting Altuve can run well to first and Maldonado was the better shot to retire and closer throw at second from Anderson.
  13. Simply can’t give up 4 here without expecting “here we go again” to enter into team thinking. Cease struggles yet another reason we have to take advantage of Rodon and Lynn this year.
  14. Well, there’s another reason for having an above average everyday 2B defensively. Cease with the temporary concentration lapse.
  15. https://www.espn.com/mlb/insider/story/_/id/31823403/60-home-runs-shohei-ohtani-comeback-new-york-yankees-mlb-second-half-preview
  16. His ERA and peripherals were elevated but there was at least one advanced metric that made him reminiscent of his former self…kind of waiting for the roof to cave in but it didn’t.
  17. New nickname for Skogman? If only he played for the Everett Aqua Sox, they used to have a frog as their logo.
  18. Well, except Cano was pretty much a HoF hitter the first 8-10 years of his career…part of it was Yankees hype, but still.
  19. Plus they bought Quintana while he was still pretty darned close to peak value from the previous season…hard to time those Big 3 trades any better.
  20. If Rodon, Lynn, Moncada, Jimenez and Robert are all 100% on October 3rd, they have to be the AL if not World Series favorites.
  21. Can definitely see where the Corey Seager comps are coming with that frame.
  22. Vaughn should move to second, with Burger in LF and Eloy at DH. These suggestions just get more unrealistic by the day. Honestly, the move of Burger for a handful of games at second base was probably just as much about trade leverage as anything else. Leury Garcia has stabilized that position in recent weeks…along with Engel and Hamilton returning and Goodwin holding his own offensively.
  23. If you add in the Tigers (9-4) 35-9 Then 19-26 versus the rest of their opponents. We do get the Tigers and Indians for 11 of the final 13 games, including five in a row in CLE.
