  1. They better hope Bummer figures things out or Crochet might be more valuable out of the pen compared to spot starting and multi inning relief appearances.
  2. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/jose-abreu-white-sox-blue-jays-ump-baseball-bat-mlb-011841264.html Imagine if Abreu also was out for an extended period of time...
  3. We have elements of a great team, but we're not there yet. Just too many loose defensive plays...and a bullpen that's lacking that "shutdown" mentality of the 2005 club. This pen seems more like they're waiting for something bad to happen, rather than creating their own luck.
  4. 4/27 on the evening, you don't deserve to win...but, nevertheless, a little defense out of the White Sox and clutch hitting and it isn't even much of a game.
  5. Lamb with a MUCH MUCH more competitive at-bat than Moncada there. Wow.
  6. Moncada has to come through at least once tonight, right?
  7. Abreu's second run given up on that play by not stopping the ball looming larger...
  8. He was WAY TOO NONCHALANT. Like he was gliding across the bag instead of getting everything behind the throw at max velocity. And the position from which he threw it...kind of a flip/off to the side instead of the way it should properly be thrown.
  9. Why does PAL trigger everyone so much? Has anyone actually used that word after the 50's and 60's in a real conversation?
  10. Well, when you're more concerned with how the play LOOKS than getting anything on the throw...and Abreu seemingly doesn't have the baseball IQ on those plays to leave his stretch and just stop the freaking ball and prevent a second run from scoring. Ridiculous.
  11. Is Benetti doing this game from the Little K in Kansas City???
  12. Just walk him, he's a former Cardinal, hits homers...that's enough of a rationale, lol.
  13. Why did he swing? Why was Anderson so nonchalant? Why doesn't Jose ever leave the bag to stop those throws?
  14. Here comes the next walk. Bullpen DESPERATELY needs a RH veteran to solidify things down there.
  15. I almost think that Heuer facing Guerrero automatically would have led to a homer...or Ruiz, Marshall or Foster. That's where we desperately needed Kopech. Too early for Hendriks after he pitched yesterday.
  16. PERFECT. Jesus Christ, Bummer is like butter when he's under duress, just melts.
  17. Always seems to happen to Bummer. Like Quintana's bad luck in never being able to get victories in close games for like 3-4 years.
  18. This seems like one of those innings from hell that leads to a 3-2 lead for TOR...
  19. Guess he just completely missed the base...one replay looked like he might have clipped the front, but that was the misleading angle from behind the bag.
