Madrigal.
It didn’t seem to effect Kyle Lewis, who had his share of doubters on draft day...and still does, between injuries and swing and miss issues. Hasn’t seemed to impact Julio Rodriguez, either. “Baseball is ninety percent mental. The other half is physical.” Yogi Berra

Tony La Russa tied for 2nd in all time wins!
And he had a pretty good record with those 1982-84 Braves teams...

The Makings of a Juggernaut?
PornSox/SoxHub....in all seriousness, I’m sure there will be moments in the future you’ll want to express your opinion on sports and there won’t be any avenue available and you’ll probably regret it. Like another Giolito no-no.

One way I know the sox are a great team again...
Not even the Gallo rumors, lol? My cousin in Plano thought Mazara was going to put up monster numbers as middle of the order masher for the Sox...but not to be.

Why your favorite team can’t be more like the Rays
https://www.espn.com/mlb/insider/story/_/id/31554219/why-your-favorite-team-more-tampa-bay-rays Interesting stuff...although most is pretty basic analysis. Still worthwhile of our attention. White Sox get a mention for “too much money committed to future payrolls/extensions” category. No mention of 2.9 fWAR for less than one year of Cronenworth and that Blake Snell had his best outing of the season by far against a tough opponent this week and is still on course for a 2+ fWAR...while Patino has yet to prove he can be an effective starter, yet. Also, SD would still be better off with healthy versions of Austin Nola/Caratini than Mejia/Hedges.

This is like an NCAA bb or football program giving themselves the death penalty, lol...

.509, below TLR, and just...fittingly. No postseasons 1995-1997.

Sox Win! Congrats TLR on #2 All-time!
Cardinals have lost out on Garcia, Arozarena, Luis Robert and of course Oscar Taveras....a lot to lose from one generation of players. They were just fortunate Price and Heyward hesitated about playing in that “Southern” market.

How To Fix the Pen
Why would you sell so early on Burger when he still has to prove he can remain healthy for a full season and can play an above average big league 3B? That provides a lot more value than Sheets, Gonzalez, Adolfo and Rutherford combined. If they get far enough ahead in the second half, personally would like to see Adolfo get some big league at-bats and see if there’s anything there before we lose him for good...that said, it’s 90-95% likely his shot comes from a rebuilding organization with Cespedes and Colas coming up behind him and applying pressure. Of not for all the injuries, he might have been ready in 2020 or definitely this season but unfortunately one too many setbacks it seems.

Sox Win! Congrats TLR on #2 All-time!
Garcia? Seems he's more of a corner guy...no doubt, Cain in 2014-15-16 was awesome. Phillips has an A+ arm. JBJr's offense is so horrid he could never be considered for any defensive awards based having to contribute at least something offensively. Inciarte and Juan Lagares really stand out from past years, as well.

Sox Win! Congrats TLR on #2 All-time!
Buxton, for sure. Kiermaier used to be right up there. Ramon Laureano has to be considered. Bader, Herrera, Robles and Cain are the next tier, arguably.

Sox Win! Congrats TLR on #2 All-time!
This just in. Blue Jays, Rays and Astros are not "trap" series but clearly measuring stick (like NYY and Boston). We do get the Tigers again on the road, which won't be easy with how familiar the teams already are we each other on the early season.

7-0 versus the Tigers, all-time. Unfortunately, not likely to be one of our playoff opponents...

What is the connection between Jerk and sticks, or, perhaps more ominously, Jerks and Ticks?

Steve Stone / Yoan Moncada's "Lack of Effort and Interest"

Steve Stone / Yoan Moncada's "Lack of Effort and Interest"
You realize the only non~minority on the list is Hendry, right? A bit of an unusual pattern. Especially with Hispanic players and coaches.

Sox Win! Congrats TLR on #2 All-time!
Devil Rays... no longer exist. There is a team, however, called the Rocket City (NASA) Trash Pandas in Huntsville, AL.

6/6| White Sox vs Tigers | 1:10PM CT | TLR 2nd All-time Win Watch!
Orioles up by five early on Indians, still hitting bottom of second. Make that 7-0. Only four outs recorded so far by CLE, Quantrill already replaced by Sandlin.

Cubs 2021
In a survey of baseball executives and scouts, there are seven teams that could be involved in a bidding war for Bryant’s services: the San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Boston Red Sox and Washington Nationals. source: Nightengale, yahoosports.com

Chris Archer Trade
Please don’t bring that up, lol. It would be one thing if Archer actually was productive for the Pirates. Glasnow worth around 6 fWAR, Meadows 5.5...then Baz. Archer worth around 2 fWAR over two seasons. Tatis 8.8 in 185 career games. Shields with a negative overall with the Sox.

Steve Stone / Yoan Moncada's "Lack of Effort and Interest"
The intimation here being that Stone has a similar trend of going after non-white players in his most pointed criticisms...
