Not to mention buying at near peak value when he fell off quite a bit after hot starts in previous seasons...someone like Marte, Gallo or Haniger makes a lot more sense financially. It also frees up a spot for Cespedes or Colas to grow into.

You think they'd be "on orders" from TLR to sustain that offensive inning as long as possible to give Rodon some much needed rest.

Well, on the plus side, 3-4 years ago....this game was a 5-0 or 6-0 Blue Jays rout. Rodon has learned to battle his behind off.
