6/8| White Sox vs Jays | 7:10PM CT | TLR going for #2765
45 pitches for 4 outs. Yikes. We might need Reynaldo Lopez up to eat innings in games like this. Or Wright. Whoever, doesn't really matter.

MLB.com already running with this headline, haha. Vladinator vs. Yermínator MLB.TV: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has participated in a Derby; Yermín Mercedes wants to. This will be fun.

Burger with his 8th double, 1/3 (283/882)...Charlotte/Tomshaw getting clobbered. Can the Yankees manage to lose to the Twins? Also, Indians up 2-0 early over the slumping Cardinales...

Yeah, the only question about this team is the pitching. A bit reminiscent of the 2006 White Sox.

Actually surprised TLR didn't walk Grichuk to load the bases in the first out of respect for a former Cardinal...

Yerminator campaigning for HR Derby opportunity
Alexei Ramirez and Leury Garcia are NOT the White Sox entrants...actually, Uribe was really good at this particular skill.

Burger is next, and Burdi made it as well...Courtney Hawkins just signed with BIRM since Cespedes will never arrive. J/K.

I can just see another Kamikaze Pilot episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Poor Marty Funkhouser.

Personal attack. Here’s notice I must report you to extremely diligent forum admins like KyYLle. “Highway to the danger zone, I’ll take you right into the Danger Zone.”

KW or Rick Hahn? We’ll go with a tanned Hahn, since KW would just rudely knock over the buffet table..whereas Hahn is always referring to the Sox having a “seat at the table.”

You’re either with Yerminator or against him, there can be no nuanced middle ground.

Speaking of Sox players who grew up on California farms...and also attended Stanford. By STEVE HENSON DEC. 13, 1996 12 AM PT TIMES STAFF WRITER CAMARILLO — Joe Borchard could as easily be Joe Athlete, a Madison Avenue creation marketed for the holidays at a department store near you. There’s the body of NFL proportions: 6-feet-4 and 202 chiseled pounds, close-cropped hair and All-American good looks. There’s speed, arm strength, and the classic release point on his sharp spirals. There’s also a 4.0 grade-point average, a gee-whiz demeanor, and dedication to basketball and baseball when the time comes. The radiant smile he’s worn lately does more than fit an image. Borchard for the first time knows for sure that his looks are not deceiving. He is the genuine article. A proven winner. https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1996-12-13-sp-9119-story.html

On you. Stop trying to sound like Jerksticks, btw. If anything, I’m taking the focus away from TLR and properly placing it on the players who actually win games. Because you’ve forced this into another referendum on TLR as manager. Certainly, we don’t have enough of those threads around here yet...right? PS: Am i also responsible for your Bitcoin losses, too?

Martin Landau unfortunately is no longer around to reprise his Bela Lugosi impersonation of Mack in Ed Wood II.

We must also require Jerksticks’ incessantly positive yet vague and Bull Durhamish cliched posts to get the W as well. A game thread itself cannot be defined as superstitious, as that adjective or trait defines humans. You can state or claim they are superstitions (in your own mind,) even though Benetti will manage to step all over every no-hitter in his over exuberant puppy dog “glad to have a seat at the table” way.

Ron’s sudden TLR support campaign is certainly faring poorly.

Why your favorite team can’t be more like the Rays
Castellanos would be about our only significant add...minus the bullpen...going into next season. If they’re going to spend, the first priority should be pitching, and Nick also faded last year after a white hot start, so we’d be over paying in a Shields-like deal. Don’t think the Reds can afford the same type of contract subsidy the Padres came up with under Fowler. Finally, they’re hot again and right back on the cusp of getting back into the NL Central race. That’s why shorter terms options like Starling Marte or Haniger or even Gallo have more appeal.
- Madrigal.

Loaiza was close in 2003...of course, Sale got votes, Buehrle, Thigpen the year he broke the saves record, Wilson Alvarez, Contreras the best pitcher in MLB for four months stretching across 2005-06, Quintana was really solid but never had the K numbers. “A World Series Champion in 1906, Ed Walsh put up numbers that look downright silly considering how much the game has changed since his time. He had five seasons with 20+ victories, including 40, yes 40 in 1908. Walsh holds the record for career ERA with 1.82. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1946.”

And deadly on popups into the outfield and down the RF line into foul territory...even though overall he didn't grade out as a great fielder.
